Just heard; national media trashing Roethlisberger as 'fake humble' when talking about his pay cut to sign Watt and other players. Just seems the media has it out for him and he can do no right by some. Meanwhile Brady gets praise around every corner for taking less than market deals.

Glad Roethlisberger's career stats are so overwhelming that voting on HOF should be a first ballot. If he is a Rivers I don't think he gets in just because of the negative media bias.

      I don't think he's being fake humble.

But it does sound like the guy that spends his tax return more than once (he also took a paycut so we could bring Juju back...although maybe he didn't say that himself).

He's a team leader and I think should be supporting other players.

I think it's also reasonable to think that the team told Ben they would do what they could to be as competitive as possible when they asked him for a pay cut.

Risking having the best player on the team (per Ben) sit out probably doesn't really agree with that stance.
