Billicheat always gave Cam props because he was 2-0 vs New England and gave them fits.

Who knows where he lands but it will more than likely be a backup or wait until a QB is injured.
A QB that throws <60% completion in the modern NFL is not a recipe for success. He's done as a starter.

while I agree.. he was 65% last year and he is 60.1% for his career. The problem last year is after covid he was dink and dunk and didn’t have success going downfield.

I think this is why [completed air yards] and [intended air yards] are important stats. They help give context to completion percentage and YPA.

Yea, Newton was Roethlisbergeresque in those depts.

We have a new OC, so I'm hoping that everything magically changes...including our OL play.

The next time we should see Cam Newton on a football field, he should be wearing a suit at Bank of America Stadium watching as they introduce him as the newest member of their Hall of Honor.

I am amazed that football is the one sport that hasn't progressed beyond their traditional stats. Baseball, hockey, even basketball have all sorts of newfangled metrics that I need to ask my kid to explain to me. I think that the only "stat" that you see in football that (I don't think) existed say 30 years ago is QB rating. I always thought it was ridiculous watching Philip Rivers dump the ball off to Ladanian Tomlinson, watch LT cut through the entire D for a 50 yard TD, and Rivers is credited with the same 50 yard TD pass as a QB who dropped a 50 yard dime to a receiver in stride.

Especially since so many people play FF.

You'd think that these metrics would help people make good picks.
