Who worried about the green pick?

I did not like the pick and felt there were better players on the board.

Look he's a rookie. A can deal with mistake, just not getting physically manhandled. And that what happened twice at the hands two different players. One game, okay.

    If it happens again...

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Dude has wheels . . . Probably needs to get stronger.
Getting a 1st yr guy to start is a luxury....I'm more concerned about his 2022 play at this point.

So he can run. What is he going to do about those t-rex arms and lack of size? The new OC isn't calling screen and draw plays.

        he's 6'2 305. this isn't basketball.
that isn't undersized in football. the guy you wanted in the draft is the same weight just 2-3 inches taller they have the same arm length according to the links below, but i'd imagine being 6-4/6'5 its more of a disadvantage with that arm length. why do you keep harping on that? creed's first listed weakness
        • Very short arms for his size, allowing defenders to get shots into his frame

green put up 4 less reps on the bench press at his pro day. is that a significant amount to you? i'm more interested in what each of them squats to be honest. and by the size of green's thighs, i'll bet he can out squat him

For as little college ball center that Green has played, I'll give him wide berth to grow into the position. Yea, he had a rough day last game and there will probably be more this season but look out once he builds pro level strength and learns the position. He is perfect for Canada's zone blocking scheme.

The bench press favor short arms. Green has short arms. That is his " listed college " weight, he's an undersized guy in the NFL. I bet he's under 300 pounds. If he looks like he's be a turnstile or on roller skates is game #3, time to be concerned. Not mocking you but can you explain Canada Zone blocking scheme to me?

some of it is simply leverage and technique.

sometimes you are going to lose a battle or get caught off balance in a bull rush. If it continues to happen its a concern.

Green's play thus far has been somewhat concerning. If he can't cut it, we may need to go shopping for a C ... I don't think we want to go through the season with Hassenhauer as the starter.

But let's give the rookie a little more time, OK? I'm still optimistic that he will develop into a decent center.
