If Bells rookie season was on pace to be an all time great....start sewing Dobbins his gold jacket right now.
You left out the reception part of Bell's production. 45 receptions for 399 yards at 8.8 per clip. All around purpose back. Lets not forget that Bell was a big back that was good at pass protection.

Bell was on pace to become an all time great in the Steelers offense. I know people don't like the way things ended with Bell but he was a high productive player for the Steelers as a rusher and pass catcher.

Bell had almost 8000 all purpose yards and 42 TD's in 5 years with the Steelers. Bell was on his way to becoming an all time great. Bell will be a "what if" in history.

      We would have:
      1. Dobbins
      2. A different 4th round pick, addressing a different need
      3. A different first round pick this season (best available tackle perhaps?)

If Claypool is ELITE and Dobbins is just "good" we made the right call.

If Dobbins is a perenial pro-bowler, even if Najee is better (All Pro) I'd love a shot at an elite tackle this season over Claypool
he'll produce with them, but who doesn't ??

they have a fat phuck, undrafted out of rutgers, fullback who consistently gains yards with that O line in front of him.
      so yeah, dobbins will too

our receiver room was not "stacked" heading into the draft last year with JJSS in his last year.
if 2020 was a normal year, we would have DJ and washington heading into the 2021 season as our top 2 wideouts. that is below average in today's NFL

I'm curious as to why people are anointing Dobbins as the second coming of Barry Sanders.
        Trolls are people too.

What is wrong with your analysis? You need to do better than this.

How about we compare Bell and Dobbins first years? Both were drafted in the 2nd round.

Bell was on pace to be an all time great duel threat in the Steelers offense. Dobbins TBD. But there are other factors to consider in a team sport.
Facts just confuse him and don't ignore with his agenda

Who did that Shawn? I am the only one who mockingly talked "Gold Jacket" because somebody acted like Bell's 3.5 ypc rookie season portended greatness.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

dobbins had half the carries bell had his rookie year. you're stats are skewed or do you think he continues the 6.0 average if he was the feature back and not the 3rd back to start the season

I don't know if he averages 6 yards a carry. It sho won't drop to 3.5 unless he has just over 100 more carries and averages 1/2 a yard each.

I think the bigger question is how does he nearly have the same number of yards in around 100 less carries.

He thinks people have secret agendas . He can’t go two post without constantly bringing that up. That’s his stick.

Actually, I believe that Sanders is now considered a poor man's Dobbins.

Seriously though, how do you compare production of two guys in completely different situations? Draft Dobbins in the second and let McFarland go to the Ravens in the fourth and I will bet that Baby Booger outproduces Dobbins, who would have been running behind the worst run blocking line in modern team history.
