A new season, and a old rivalry

Well, training camps are open, players getting ready for their debut of the 2021 season. As a long time Browns fan, i will always look forward to battling the rivalry of the Steelers.

There can't be many long-time Browns fans in Pennsylvania, can there?

Well growing up in N.E. Ohio and rooting for the Steelers I have had many spirited discussions with Browns fans over the years. I have long since left Ohio but actually enjoy watching the Browns now. They have an exciting team and great RBs. I think they may have finally found a HC as well.

Good luck to you, just not when you play us.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

I grew up near Youngstown. It seemed to be 50-50 split between Steelers fans and Browns fans. Fun times!

I grew up near Youngstown, in Warren. Actually Howland Township. Go Tigers!

I worked at GEI and Astro Shapes when I was a young engineer.

Small world. I grew up nearby in Hubbard and went to Ursuline. My parents still live there but I’ve been on the east coast since graduating from OSU. And yes I’m also an engineer.

Small world indeed. They were the Ursuline Irish, right? Football powerhouse. Did Ed O'Neil go there?

My parents and most of my family past. I lived in SC for a while and now I am in the desert. I transferred with my company each time.

I do miss the fairs and the food. I'd give about a week's pay for a Sunrise Pizza (Brier Hill style) right about now. The valley was an incredible melting pot, no doubt. The foods and fairs proved that out.

I also do love the Buckeyes, no doubt.

LOL. Yes Ursuline is the home of Al Bundy (Ed O’Neil). He is in our football HOF. After playing at Youngstown State, he was an undrafted FA that signed with the Steelers. Noll cut him….I guess he couldn’t beat out Greene or Greenwood. Ha!

I thought he went to Polk High.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

                  TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Browns need to become consistently good before we can consider them rivals. The Ravens are the real rival and most consistent threat.

I miss the old AFC Central. We had nice rivalries with the Browns, Oilers and Bengals.

What's funny is the Ravens are the old Browns. We face two Browns teams each year.

I always had a high level of respect for the Oilers.

When you look at teams today who feel like those Oilers?
The Titans really ARE the natural legacy of the Oilers.
