    Vince Williams

Did he just announce his retirement? Caught the tail end of something over the radio.

Dang. Congrats VW on a great career.

So now we’re dangerously thin on the inside?

I believe A. Williamson is still a free agent.

Nice career for where he was drafted, not great, but solid... I'm sure a certain someone on here will have something to say about his replacement

A player that always gave his all, from whistle to whistle. A great 6-round pick that showed up to the combine with a Steelers logo already tattooed on his arm. We need more Vince Williams.

                Good luck, Vince (Bince).

Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Was this the burning news that was lighting up Twitter yesterday?

                    That's what I'm wondering also.
Guessing this is what Terrance Garvin was talkin about.
Any chance this was VWs way of getting back at the FO for cutting him after the season?
I'd like to think not.. but the timing seems peculiar

I doubt Vince would be this petty. Today was reporting day and all go through physicals. I wonder if they found something that forced him to call it a career. Definitely strange timing though.

I actually wanted to sign him over Vince.

I thought he was a smidgen better than Vince or Spillane.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

                        TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

VW will go down in my book as one the great under appreciated players in Steeler History.
Great Value for where he was drafted.
                            Never Overpaid.
Made many big plays despite lacking size/speed combo.
Deshea Townshend, John Jackson & Larry Foote are on that list.

Absolutely spot on, I couldn’t agree more. He was pretty durable as well.
