I agree on Rudolph. I think they go with what got and clear all the dead money next season. If Rudolph sucks they go QB in 2023. Sad part is they may waste another few years of a good defense.

and now we have a stud RB, something we haven't had since Le'Veon Bell.
As a runner, Harris is better than Bell. Expecting big things

I hope Harris develops a chip on his shoulder from the media (and fans) saying "it was a mistake for the Steelers to draft a RB in Rd 1". Prove they were all wrong, that a special RB is always a Rd 1 target if he is there.

when people gave us a bad grade for drafting a RB first instead of OL that was just odd.

I can see the concern with waiting to draft OL but a bad grade for drafting a stud RB?

I wanted Larry Johnson instead of Troy for that very same reason.
We gave up two picks to trade with KC who drafted LJ in our spot.

I’m good with our pick as I am hopeful Green winds up as good as Creed, but not buying the general statement about “always” drafting a special running back.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

I agree at least at this stage of their careers. I knew Bell was special when we drafted him. But, he developed into something very special by his second to third season. Harris is better than a rookie Bell. I think he will also outplay him throughout his career. With that said, without an OL it may hinder his development. That's my only worry.

We shall see. Like Shawn said, early on Bell was a traditional RB who hopped over tacklers like Najee but he was viewed as a power back.

Then he came back with the hesitation and patience and he was slippery as hell. His cutback was nasty.

Najee is slippery as well but I think he style will work better year 1 simply because he is a one cut RB and he sets up his blocks nicely when it looks like there is no where to go.

If he is better than Bell we have a superstar on our hands (I think we do) because Bell was really good in B&G.

A lot to like about this young man. Maturity beyond his years. Understanding and awareness of the plight of others. (contrast this with someone like AB who I don't recall ever reading a positive story like this about )

Impressive. Seems like he will be motivated to take care of his loved ones

Make sure he never meets Bell or AB

Most people who come into the league have great intentions. I’m praying he finds the right people to work with to make this a reality.

I really hope Najee continues down this path and doesn’t get burned by crooks and thieves in suits.

I remember the 30 for 30 Broke episode and someone said the worst thieves don’t have mask and guns, they have suits and briefcases.

Sean Gilbert is from my moms hometown of Aliquippa. He built this huge school and after school center next to the old HS in a depressed area. It was never finished because the pastor and Gilbert got into a financial disagreement.

Since he was drafted, everything you hear about the player is outstanding. Everything you hear about the person is even better.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw him doing something with Gavin Newsom on homelessness. Any politician will not look beyond their next election campaign. Any major issue such as homelessness, poverty, the economy, racism, crime and policing etc.

The great dichotomy in our political system. In order to protect our societal rights, nobody is handed a mandate for more than 4 years at a time (up to five here in Canada), but in order to solve the greatest issues, a much longer term solution is required.

We said the same thing about JuJu too.

My hope is fans don’t abandon or turn on Najee if he slips up or has an issue off the field.

I’m also encouraged by everything I have heard about him.

The "we should have drafted an OL at #24" crowd is currently in hibernation, just waiting for Najee to make a mistake or have a bad game.
