How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

              216. Steelers, Quincy Roche, EDGE, Miami

              Grade: A-
Similar to last year's pick of Alex Highsmith. A little on the smaller side but hand-work master who can win around the edge with some speed and bend. If he was bigger, he would've been picked much earlier.

I've seen 4th round grades on him. Looks like good value for a late pick

good value pick by the Steelers at a much needed position.

I had him in the 7th in my mock. I think it’s the only player I had, although a round off.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Picked off by Giants after the Steelers chopped him in final cuts. Too bad, was wishing we could have stashed him on the P.S.; I think he had a lot of promise. But J.Jones was better at the position for now.

I think that Jones has turned out (so far at least) to be the guy you hoped you were drafting in Roche. If correct then who cares. The same way I'm happy if James Pierre turns out to be the guy who you were hoping Layne would be.

If we can't work out a long-term deal with T.J., I might care. And it's always nice to have a good, younger player to bring up when you lose a vet to FA or injury.

But yeah, Jones earned the backup spot, and I'm happy we kept him onboard. Woulda sucked to lose him in order to keep Roche.

Unless he pulls a Bell, TJ is still here this season (5th year option) and the next 2 (franchise tags). Making way less money than if he signed a long term deal (LB tag is like $15M I think).

That's why I think it's really close to a 100% chance it gets done.
