Round 4. I am taking a tackle and corner.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

I am for C and OT, preferably in that order. There is a lot of talent left, I hope we pick solid players there next (2) selections and don't get cute.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

I want that; but us going offense on three straight picks? What would be the odds on that?

I'm having a hard time seeing the Steelers go three rounds without picking D.

Exactly what I’d like to see, too.

That said, long time until we pick again. OL tend to be an early 2nd round thing in the draft, as the top 10 in the draft are often the wow picks, but the big uglies are what everyone needs in round 2.

Look at the Bungles, for example. Penei Sewell fell in their lap, yet they took Burrows old WR from college. I think Chase is a real good WR, don’t get me wrong, but they need to keep Burrow upright or he’ll go the way of Luck. Sewell could be the next Munoz, who I think was the best OT ever to play the game.

The Bengals will take an OL in the 2nd, and so will some of those others. I don’t want to sit tight and get the 4th-5th best C, I want Humphrey, Dickerson or Meinerz, period. The others are more projects, IMO. (Myers to me is the 2nd coming of Billy Price—ask the Bungles how that turned out).

We may need to do some pick swapping with a little of next years draft capital, but it would be worth it to me.

I am starting to think they are doing that, they have too many holes and questions on the OL.

On the D side of the ball, we are a mess with depth and questions in the DB. ( I am thinking we can fill the voids later in the draft and via FA, there are some good Edge and CB available.)

I agree. We really need starters/upgrades on O at RB, C and LT, IMO.

On D, we pretty much have our starters filled out (with the exception of a nickel CB). We need a lot of depth, though, but we can’t use premium picks on depth.

Good thing there are a lot of depth guys for D that should be Day Three guys.
