    FInal mock. Post yours here.

    Final mock

1 ) RB Etienne. Injury-prone, slow and fumble prone are gone from our backfield! Finally we have a back who can run both inside and outside. Etienne has 55 runs over 20 yards or more, hardly ever fumbles. He can transform the offense from a passing standpoint too. He's the best big play back I have seen in college in years with excellent durability, and has legitimate speed. The type of speed and acceleration to leave 95% of the front seven he's up against in the rearview mirror. On the ground, he averages 7.2 yards per rush, and 11.2 yards per pass...at Clemson! If our OC is on the ball, he can mix in play - action, screens, and the occasional draw out of spread passing formation. This man is a weapon.

2 ) C Meinerez - I think this diamond in rough has pro bowl tools. A powerhouse run blocker! A very mobile center who can pull. The upgrade here will be significant. He also has a like-able personality for football. He might take a little longer to develop coming from a small school that did not play football last year, but should shine early thanks to elite level albeit somewhat unrefined ability.

    3. TE Tremble. We take the best blocking TE on the board a with sneaky speed as a receiver. This pick seals Ebron's fate next season. No more sissy blocking or dropped passes eating up 8.5 million a year in cap space. We get a top notch blocker with the ability to stalemate ends, or block well inside or outside. A perfect complement to Etienne's game. Our focus of the offense should be Claypool, ( Who's a tremendous blocker himself and dangerous WR ) and Etienne., with Ju-ju cleaning up in the slot and Johnson beating the 3rd CB. Suddenly the Steelers have the best TE and WR blocking in the NFL, with one of the best 3 down back running in the NFL. That's why Tremble to me is slightly over drafted is worth this pick.

4A ) OT Forsythe. A house of a blocker who served as the blindside pass protector in the SEC, protecting the slow - footed Trask. He could be our best tackle as a rookie. This pick has the words 4th round steal attached to it. Bye bye Chucks, you can't move a thing. Time of a change.

4B CB Tre Brown a good slot man who tackles above his weight class. A little grabby, but he does make his share of plays on the ball too. The Steelers need a good #3 or #4 corner. Reports say he's very good on special team kick coverage. We need corners and he'll make this team.

6 ) P Max Duffy. The best punter on the board and cheaper than Berry. Punts for distance, hang time, and pining the opponent inside the 10 yard yard line. Can you say upgrade?

7 A ) S Darmr Hamln. An in the box safety who makes his share of plays vs. the pass. A zone coverage guy, who can add to special teams. Decent size. Don't match him vs a speed WR. One of those late round " chess pieces " Depth at safety is a need.

7b ) ILB Erroll Thompson - A thickly built ILB, who does well vs.the run. Can blitz, and makes a few plays for the pass. Old school ILB, and team captain. Should add depth to a position that needs some toughness to the run D. . Probably a " two down player

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

You make a solid case for your draft!!
I think TE is the most overlooked position on the team behind the obvious need at LT, Center and RB.

I don't think we want to get rid of Ebron but it would be great for our run game when we go two TE to have a TE on the other side who wants to lay the lumber on someone.

Impressive draft. I think we all could embrace that.

To better clarify, the butter fingered weak blocking Ebron is a triple strike player in my book. Limit him this year, let him go in free agency.

First off I think he's trouble making punk who complained too often in Detroit.

He blocks like a wuss, more like the joe average WR, a reason why we didn't run the ball well. Ju-Ju blocks better than he does and Claypool puts him to shame.

And he remains a tease as a receiver with too many untimely drops. All for what, 10 yards per catch? ( very low ) Really?

Did I mention he is way over paid on the cap? Oh how I wish we can trade this guy.

At any rate I don't want to feature a TE, let alone one who's probably the 4th best target at best on the team. I'd rather keep the WR unit intact and just get a blocker and solid pass catching TE featuring Etienne out of the back field, who's really dangerous, JU-JU and Johnson on the short to medium routes. and Claypool on the medium to deep routes. Try covering that. A good college OC could make it work. When we want to run in this draft will be ideal. The guys I want can plow through you.

A sample of what Ebron is all about and I hope I'm done talking about him.

I'd be happy if this is the way it turns out.

I think I'd like OT and CB to be higher, but there are 4 positions I want us to be able to draft in the first 2 rounds.

That's the problem with this year...too many needs for too few picks.

I don't do full mocks because I don't really watch the amateurs play. My guess would be that the Steelers will first take Zaven Collins, Jamin Davis or whoever is the highest ranked Linebacker available.

?? The team wants me first players who can't block and drop too many passes ?? NO THEY DON'T

Ebron might be the best we have at TE for now, but that doesn't mean this was a good free agency move. The team in private likely agrees with me.

                        Current Contract
" Eric Ebron signed a 2 year, $12,000,000 contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers, including a $5,000,000 signing bonus, $5,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $6,000,000. In 2021, Ebron will earn a base salary of $1,120,000 and a restructure bonus of $4,880,000, while carrying a cap hit of $4,596,000 and a dead cap value of $7,380,000. "

Sure, sure he's worth that. Can't cut him either unless you are willing to cough up that dead cap money.

Phase him out I say, I'd much rater see the ball in Claypool's hands or a back like Eitenne's.

yes.. the team wants him, if they didn’t he wouldn’t be on the team. WTF?

I also prefer the ball go to Claypool over Ebron. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a place for Ebron to feast when Claypool isn’t open or isn’t on the field. His drop rate is in the Kelce range. I think the drops are being multiplied by your hate for him.

The team is privately agreeing with you? This you know because you are part of these private meetings? That has to be the weirdest things said on here in years!!!

Did you have your last rib removed? My goodness dude.

and Etienne isn’t a Steeler... yet. But I hope so if he is on the board.

Whoa. Of course the team wants all 53 players and PS people to stay. Duh. His drops are his drops, I have nothing to due with the amount.

Based on his past history and his recent performance, I would say the team isn''t thrilled with Ebron. That's my opinion. The guys a loud mouth and I have plenty of his quotes to back that up. If you think teams want an expensive player with an over inflated opinion of his worth, that drops too many passes, can't block a lick, and when he does catch it averages 10 yards a catch, just say it. Don't put world in my mouth that are not there. I said nothing of the sort of the team privately agreeing with me. Let me guess, you're the type that defended Ladarius Green.

I'd rather have the ball in Ju'ju's, Claypool's., Etienne ( if he draft him ) and probably Johnson's and Washington's hands over Ebron.

We have guy who sucks a blocker and averages 10 yard a catch, has a very low AV for a reason, yet you are mentioning him with Kelece?

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***
