I'd really like to see them draft Dickerson at Center. I think he's the best C in the draft, and they can fall down a bit in round 1- as long as someone wants to trade up- Steelers can gain a pick, and get their long term Center for the future.

    Okorafor
    Dotson
    Dickerson
    DeCastro
    Banner

And to the person saying to move Banner to Guard? Are you nuts? he's too big for a guard
Agreed that currently those are the players penciled in. If the Steelers do go tackle in the first three rounds, I think that they will pay lip service to him needing to win the job but it would have to be the rooks job to take. I'd think the FO would be disappointed if a high rookie draft pick cannot beat out either Banner or Chuks at his position and start day 1.

While I don't have your OL experience (5' 7", 165 did not cut it at OT) I have been saying the same thing about Chuks as a LT. He played RT last year and struggled, so some have said you can't let him play the harder position. What I've always heard, and said, is that LT is not harder, it is different. It may be viewed as harder because your job is to protect the blind side, and you often face more elite pass rushers, but the mechanics of the position are completely reversed so it is entirely likely that a player has difficulty making the switch one way or the other.

I'd love this pick in rd 1. Great athlete and monster size. He'd see a ton of playing time his rookie year for us.

How many batted balls would Banner’s helmet have if he moved to guard? lmao

let's re-sign AV and move him to guard also.

we will only be able to throw down and outs though because all the passes up the middle will hit AV and Banner in the backs of their helmets.

The biggest weakness for Dickerson is his lack of availability. He’s seen a lot of injuries throughout his time in college. Because of it, his flexibility and athleticism has taken a hit. His speed to the second level, and his overall lateral mobility is at a below-average NFL level. He barely has the requisite athleticism for guard or center.
This will only get worse in the pros where the guys opposite are faster and stronger in every game. I don't see Dickerson as a 10 yr starter.

It’s amazing how a few posters are so influential on other ones. Guy hasn’t talked to them in months and he is still in their heads everyday.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

I love how Dickerson plays, if it weren't for the injuries he would definitely be a first round pick.
