If the team does end up waiting, I've looked at the guy you have in your mock as an intriguing prospect. Doubtful he is a day one starter, but may have the most upside of anyone. High School D lineman, moved to the other side of the ball and redshirted his first year, had to sit out a year to get his butt out of Michigan, was supposedly suffering from depression at the time, and finally a dominant season at a smaller school in his only season on the blind side. We often talk about the value of OL coaching and I think it is often overrated, but if he is ever going to earn his money it is with this guy. On paper this raw prospect has a chance to be anything from an all-pro LT to washed out of the league in two years.
I think it's likely we see a LT and RB in the 1st two rounds, not necessarily in that order. It's time to end the filling of the RB spot with 4th round picks. (Snell, McFarland, Conner - who was a 4th round talent taken too high).
