Go pull up the interviews by Hines Ward after the game. You can't be the greatest if your cheating. And he's a confirmed, multiple cheater at that. I consider him good but
not great for those reasons.Comment

I am well aware of the interview and statements made by steeler players. I also acknowledge that they have been caught several times.
Once again I ask. If you and other fans are so upset with it and how the nfl and Rooney handled it. What have you done?
So who then do you consider better than bilicheck? How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

I just named coaches who I consider better. Do you mean active coaches?I am well aware of the interview and statements made by steeler players. I also acknowledge that they have been caught several times.

I was upset back then about it but what can any fan do about it? Brady & Bellichek owned the front office of the NFL as well. So much so , Kraft can be made a Saint after getting caught on tape soliciting prostitutes.
Just because we can’t change what happen doesn’t mean we forget either. Patriots are cheaters. And you can’t be great if you have to cheat to do it.Last edited by Steel Maniac; 03-04-2021, 05:53 PM.Comment

All of those guys were pre-cap, right?Your exactly right. They didn't get caught during Super Bowls...but they were doing this all along. And they definitely cheated us from getting to a Super Bowl in 2005 AFC championship game. Belichek is a good coach but he's not great. Not in my book. Because great coaches don't need to cheat. Gibbs, Knoll, Walsh, Lombardi, Jimmy Johnson, Shula (early on) ..I don't recall any of those coaches needing to cheat to win.
Being consistently successful is much harder under a salary cap because you can't hoard talent because you drafted well (like we did in the 70s).
I think it's hard to imagine another coach / QB tandem having as much success as BB / TB as long as there is a cap in football.
I agree that they cheated. And that tarnishes what they've done to a point.
But it's still a pretty insane record of success. Even though I strongly disliked them.Comment

Knoll.. as in Chuck Knoll?Your exactly right. They didn't get caught during Super Bowls...but they were doing this all along. And they definitely cheated us from getting to a Super Bowl in 2005 AFC championship game. Belichek is a good coach but he's not great. Not in my book. Because great coaches don't need to cheat. You keep spelling his name wrong. Why?Steelers 27

I don’t think that is all you are saying.Of course it gave them an advantage. Fans in here act like we would have 5 more Super Bowls if they didn’t cheat.
Teams, organizations, coaches and players cheat all the time. At every level.
It’s up to the leagues to punish them and the fans to either accept it or do something about it.
That’s all I’m saying.
I’m pretty sure you are probably a Trump fan. Many people think the election stolen from him. Are you leaving America? Will you stop paying taxes?
Yeah.. thats an extreme example but I think its foolish to demand fans stop watching or “do something” about it or accept it.
The NFL is entertainment, why do we have to do anything more than acknowledge the cheating?Steelers 27

in Steel Maniac's defense, it must be extremely difficult to keep track of all the names for all those head coaches the Pittsburgh Steelers have had over the last 50 years
