I have said many time I would have taken Creed in the first and MOST definitely in the 2nd round. Truth be told if we take Creed in the 2nd Friermuth may have been there in the 3rd. We'll never know.

For organization that prides itself on tradition and "The Standard is the Standard" and a long lineage of historic Centers, this is the 2nd worst miss of the draft ever, only 2nd to not drafting Danny-Boy.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

He's already established himself as a top young center in the NFL. It's just another example of how little this team prioritizes the OL unit. They act like you can just slap it together with late draft picks and ham and eggers in FA. That hasn't work but they fail to learn their lesson. Taking Green in the 3rd round was supposedly a case of them taking the OL seriously and taking an OG to convert to a C, how did that work out?

The ship sailed right? Creed or PF? Who do you choose?

The Steelers Oline appears to be coming together as a unit with the occasional mistake or two. I think that PF will pay more dividends for the future of this team than a center.

Humphreys was rated the #1 center in the league last year. As a rookie. He’s not just “ some center” I love Muth but I’d have taken Humphrey without hesitation. That’s the best way to help our starting QB and starting RB.

Well ratings don't mean much to me. Why??

If you love Muth then be content with what the Steelers have right now. Stop being overly critical. Hindsight is what it is.

It’s not hindsight. I wanted him before the draft. But going forward, it doesn’t look opportune for our O-line up against two of the best Defenses in football the next two weeks.

I get what you are saying, but as much as I love Muth...I really wish we had Creed.

                    But I do love Muth.

It was a gigantic mistake. Crazy that we didn't scout him.

The only reason I can think of is that he's got some info that isn't public that crossed him off our list.

I agree that the good news is that we didn't miss on the pick. PF is a good player.

We can go around on this right? Best Steelers TE after Heath? Heath was a 1st round pick.

What players have the potential to have a greater impact on the game? TE or Center? Mahomes is a freak at QB. He makes plays outside of the "norm". Where would Mahomes be without Kelce?

The Steelers don't take the Oline or center position lightly.

I suggested that the Steelers are building their skill position players 1st and added Oline pieces in FA. Depending on the draft they will address the areas of weakness.

On a nother note it appeared that Highsmith played better on Watt's side. The Steelers made the change with Watt and Dupree. Similar change coming? Maybe it's understandable considering that LTs are generally better at pass protection than RTs.

This or that? PF appears to be the truth. He needs to improve his blocking. Hopefully he can grow and develop in this area.

didn't muth have a bad back injury after his last college season? who's to say he doesn't last until our 3rd rd pick. orheck trade up a bit to get if if they want to

and to be clear here, you can say there was no mistake becasue we ended up with muth.

the mistake, or bigger mistake, was not sending someone to his pro day. how does that happen?
