That’s probably what 50% of the coaches would envision.
The other 50% would envision strong offense above average defense.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

I think I'd pick up the phone and give Grimm a call for Oline coach. When he coached the Oline the Steelers were pretty good at running the football. In college he was a mauler and same with the hogs. The Steelers need an attitude adjustment on the Oline. I also hope they go outside the organization for an OC and don't promote Canada. He was supposed to influence the offense with motion and while the offense had motion, it was all too often backwards. Go outside the org for all the hires.

                  Agreed.
But this whole team needs an attitude adjustment.
                  They have become soft.

Wasn't Canada's fault. He wasn't the OC. And besides, he was known for RPO offenses. And Roethlisberger is definitely NOT an RPO QB (although he gave it half-hearted tries early in the season). The other thing, Canada was hired from outside, brought in last year out of the college ranks.

I’d like to see what Matt Canada can do with total control of the offense before being cast aside.

I don't know what Bradley did that got him fired. DBs seemed to be better coached the past couple of years than in previous seasons. Since Austin also had coaching responsibilities with DBs, I figured maybe Bradley and Austin were having some issues with each other, and the team thought Austin was the one of the two they needed to keep. But now it looks like Austin might leave, so ... ????

If I had to bet, Austin is gone.
I thought he did a nice job in Detroit.
Not sure where the steelers could ‘promote’ him to to get him to stay.

If he leaves, maybe some dirt will come out about Bradley.

Overall I think Butler has done a good job. He seems to be able to make game adjustments and dial up the right blitz at the right time.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

If Canada is an RPO guy then he was a bad hire from the start, because Ben isn't running an RPO, GTO, GMO, WHO or any kind of "O" offense that involves him using his legs. I just hated the offense so much this year (even when they were successful, it felt like the offense labored) I'd like to see them all gone. Canada may be a great OC some day or he may not, I'd prefer Marrone at this point, a proven commodity that likes to run the football. The Steelers won't do jack crap until they can run the ball for 1 or 2 yards when they need it. Third and short was a nightmare scenario for this team, the defenses knew they couldn't run the ball and sat on all the short passing lanes, that can't be.
