Pac-Man out this week, maybe for rest of season

ESPN.com says Pac-Man has a neck injury and might be done for the season.

I thought this was funny ... I don't know if anyone else caught this the other day.

Pac-Man returned a punt in front of the Steelers sideline, right in front of the guy holding the field microphone. They gang tackled him and you heard an "UGH" coming from the pile up.
Then I heard a Steelers player yell: "PAC, we gonna hurt your A$$!!!"

According to Schefter on NFL.com, Jones is done for the season and the injury may cost him his career. Talk about Karma....

Adam Jones out for season, maybe career

The neck injury that Dallas cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones sustained at Pittsburgh is so serious, it has ended his 2009 season and could end his career, a league source said Wednesday.

When Jones suffered the injury Sunday, his body went numb for two full minutes. Jones spent the early part of this week visiting with neck specialists, who are sending him on to more neck specialists.

Jones will undergo further examination in the Dallas area, and also is trying to schedule another meeting with another neck specialist in North Carolina.

Those who know Jones say he is “definitely done for the year” and he could be done for his career, which would be a massive blow to Jones and another one to the Cowboys.

As much as I generally despise Jones and his actions, I'm not going to wish a potentially crippling injury on anybody, even him.

As much as I detested his off-field antics, I don't wish this on anybody. I wonder how Goodell will handle this, he must be licking his chops and ready to slam the hammer down on his favorite league step-child... The Pittsburgh Steelers. This might not bode well for our team.

On some website (can't remember which one) they were talking about the injury being potentially career threatening and then said something to the effect of: While this injury hasn't left him seemingly paralyzed, the same can't be said of the gentleman that is as a result of Pacman's antics. Interesting.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I'd hate for this to come off as me being, umm, insensitive, but essentially the Steelers did what Roger Goodell should have done years ago, which is get the thug out of the league. The argument could be made that if Goodell had done his job after the second or third incident, this never happens, because pacman is out of the league already. Pacman's blood is on RG's hands.

Now, understand, for the most part, I don't wish injury on any player, and don't rejoice when injuries do happen, no matter what I think of the player in question.

                        That being said...

Before the game started, I said to Mike (the hubby to be) that I really wish that the Steelers would injure PacMan and take him out for the season at the least, or maybe even end his career, since I think he should have been out several incidents ago. And it looks like I may have gotten my wish....

So now, I feel a bit guilty about not feeling bad for him, but I'm actually kinda glad to see karma catch up with him to an extent.
