    I agree.

the level of skill in all teams in the NFL is staggeringly high. I don't know why anyone thinks a team that is struggling is somehow full of scrubs who can't play. You have to bring your A game every week or even a team like the bengals or the jets will hand you your a$$. The steelers aren't anywhere close to their A game, every other team knows the blueprint now and will keep doing it until it no longer works.

I'll pull a Joe Namath. The Steelers will beat the Colts on Sunday, and I guarantee it.

I agree that the Colts will do everything to stop short passes.

That's the logical Strategy against a team that can't do anything else

Steelers can't play action because no on will believe it - but maybe they can draw up a few plays where ben fakes the short pass and hands off to snell.

The offense had some success running the ball vs Cincy. The Cincy LB's even fell for the play action at times.

The biggest issue was the turnovers by the offense. Turn the ball over 3 times and the team will lose the large majority of the time.

Couldn't agree more. If you get one yard running the ball on 1st down, play action is a waste of time on 2nd down. I've seen teams do exactly what you suggest with success. After the last three weeks the Steelers know what doesn't work. So now it's time to try something different.

The key to beating the Colts will be no dropped passes and no turnovers. If the Steelers don't drop passes and win the turnover battle, they'll defeat the Colts.

And rivers is as immobile as there is in the pocket. We need to move him off his spot. We know he throws picks when properly harassed.

Comes down to very poor decisions by Roethlisberger. There were plays to be made but for whatever reason, he wasn't seeing the defense at all. There were a couple of times the camera shot to him on the sideline and I swear he kinda looked stoned, very stoic, and tuned out. He also looked very tired, bags under eyes. ....maybe I was imagining it.

This is exactly right, the decision making by Ben has been terrible, he is not seeing the field and getting rid of the ball too early before any routes can develope down field.

no.. they can run PA if they just run the damn ball more than a few rimes and go back to pass happy football.

and it doesn’t matter if its a run for 1 yard or no gain. You still have to do it enough to force the LB’s to make stops in the run game.

Our problem is going empty or running the ball once and then passing 5 or 6 straight times. We are making it too easy for defenses.

                      Run the damn ball.

he’s 38.. he was probably ready for bed when the game started.

seriously tho, its hard to pass when they drop 7 or 8 into coverage.

What we need to do is have someone chipping AV’s guy on pass plays and if nothing is open... please throw to the RB. Last game Snell was open a lot on underneath stuff with room to rumble.

Not designed pass plays to the RB.. those dont work. But check downs are there.. especially when we tried to go intermediate and the LB’s were all over it.

Here's one on Ben in Cincy.

Some said Claypool wasn’t open on that play but he was WIDE OPEN by NFL standards.

Also, on some of those plays that Ben missed there was a clean pocket. I wonder if all the quick stuff has Ben rushing on plays that take longer to develop.

He’s throwing into triple coverage on some of these so I think he has his mind made up before the snap.

Another question, is Ben picking up pads on the sideline to watch what he missed or what the D is doing or is he just watching the game?
