Exactly$$$ Feiler was probably our top rated lineman last year at RT.. if you give any credence to PFF

Fitchner was just quoted as saying " I'm excited, we're real close to getting our swag back " after the Bengals game...

LMAO...And he was serious. They had 170 yards passing, 2 Fumbles and a pick...Again one of the worst Defenses and teams in the league!

Again...We ain't winning **** as long as this guy, and his incompetent HC are still around... They're jokes!

I disagree, Munchak went to the Broncos and their oline is just mediocre. Also it's not like once Munchak left, all of those veteran o-lineman became blank slates and had to learn everything all over again.

You know who the best coaches are? The ones with the most talent? Fichtner would be the best NFL OC if the Steelers had Mahomes. Kelice, and Hill on their team. No doubt that he would be a leading head coach candidate and be looked at as an offensive genius.

Here's just one example . In 2018 the Ravens were 4 and 5 and Baltimore fans were clamoring for a new head coach. In the ninth game Flacco was injured and in the next game Lamar Jackson replaced him. The Ravens lost only one game the rest of the year to the Chiefs, and that loss was in OT at KC. Harbaugh went from being fired to having his contract extended.

Harbaugh/the Ravens completely retooled their offense in the middle of the season so as to suit LJ's strengths. Sorry, I can't see Fichtner doing that under the same circumstances. And if he was the Chief's OC? I don't think they are 13-1 right now. Not unless Andy was taking over a significant share of his duties.

Why? Would they be 14-0 instead?
Of course we can't know for sure, but my primary point is that great office coordinators have great offensive talent.

Especially if we get to exchange his cap hit for Ben's too. That extra $15M of room this year would be a pretty big advantage in constructing a roster.

But that's just the price we pay for having a HoF QB for so long.

it’s the last year KC will be getting away with paying him that much.
24m next year. 31 M the year after and then it gets into the 40m per year range

Having the best QB in the league at a bargain price giving you WAY more to spend will make a coach look real smart.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

QB is the one position that you have to get right, since the position commands such a high percentage of the salary cap. Get it wrong and you'll be hamstrung for years. Look at Carson Wentz and his dead cap value of $78M . So the Eagles have an under performing QB who is impossible to deal.

are you trying to say since we don’t have that situation, it’s the reason tomlin looks dumb?

                          interesting.

I doubt they completely retooled. I think when they drafted LJ they put things into the playbook for him probably as a slash type role.

LJ was blessed to go to a team who has always been run heavy. I think the Joe Flacco Ravens actually strayed away from their strengths.

                              Tomlin doesn't look dumb.

As has been demonstrated here several times, he compares favorably to other HCs that have franchise QBs that will be in the running for HoF when they're on market level deals.

So the whole premise of your argument is wrong.
