    Why oh Why?

It's baffled me why Jaylen Samuels continues to see the field over guys like Snell and McFly. Last game he was second in RB snap counts to Conner. Then I found this blurb which sorta explains things:

Jaylen Samuels thrived in Matt Canada’s system as a wingback in college, and he finally got his shot to play that role for the Steelers this week.
So it seems he's got Canada's eye in the offense....

Give it a chance. Could be a nice little wrinkle. It hasn't cost us a game or anything so give it a chance.

i think it's a "package" thing... Some even listed him at TE coming out of college, so he's probably better at running the route tree than any of the other guys...

It's an interesting problem when you have too many guys to get on the field.

I like Jaylen in an HBack role.

However, I'd make the argument that Ray Ray should get on the field more often than any of the backup RBs because he's electric running in the open field.

One other thing to consider is can your RB help with pass pro?

Samuels yet again on the field in BAL. Two targets, two drops.... continuing to not add value to the offense.

we have given it a chance, and he's done nothing this whole season so far.

is it his 3 carries for 8 yards or his 2 catches for 5 yards that excites you so?

If not for his NE game...he wouldn't be in the league.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

It’s a long regular season. Injuries can and will happen. We’ve decent depth and if Fitchner is tinkering and adding wrinkles to keep guys engaged, that’s okay.

If an injury forces Samuels into more snaps this offense is in trouble. I have never seen a player do so little when given an opportunity. Even Roethlisberger was pissed at him after his first drop in the game.

I agree, anyone who thinks Samuels should play more isn't paying attention or is just plain obtuse.

Jaylen Samuels sucks and is a waste of a roster spot in the same way switzer was

When he first came on the roster I thought he might become an exciting player for us. Sort of like Kevin Faulk was in New England catching balls out of the backfield and running draws. He seems to have regressed to the point where he now is a hinderance instead of a weapon.

I'm starting to see that with Snell also. Snell's vision seems extremely poor.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

                            but Go Steelers!!!

Samuels seems to get slower every year.

I think it’s his knowledge of the playbook that gets him on the field. I really think McFarland is the future as our change of pace but I think he doesn’t know the playbook yet.
