With the weird college season it's gonna be doubly important the scouts do their homework.

Not knocking his big run to seal the game but people are discussing the first 58 minutes of the game and the rushing stats weren’t impressive.
Exactly, he blew through a monster C gap hole ran into open field. I'm fairly sure I would have broken off at least 35 on that play. The rest of his day was fairly pedestrian.

I'm still waiting for my call from the Steelers FO. I'm ready. Oh you mean scouts who are actually paid for their services...lol. I agree. This year will be easy to find value or really miss if homework is doubled down on. I tend to see opportunity rather than hinderance in chaos. If there were any years where special talent will go unrecognized and fall, it will be this season. I hope its the Steelers who capitalize on a special year for the draft.

I thought we were going to trade away all of our draft picks for the next two years to pick Trevor Lawrence?

I would almost consider that...lol. Because I won't lie...without a QB this team is an 8-8 team at best.

Etienne is the real deal. But, I think we have our running backs set with Snell and McFarland. I

I'm not sure what team isn't.

I think we are pretty good with a healthy James Conner. another 100 yards 6.1 ave. 40 yards receiving. I'm sure the James Conner haters will have to shaddup for at least another week. The next great back Benny Snell only averaged 1.7 yards today.

It happens. I still like Snell and good to see McFarland with some touches and success.

Conner is Digest Player of the Week

It was what the Steelers needed, and it was what they needed at exactly the time they needed it most. Sunday's game at Heinz Field against the Houston Texans was an uphill slog for the Steelers through much of the game, but the fourth quarter belonged to them, and a result they are 3-0.

On the 79-yard touchdown drive in the fourth quarter that provided the margin of victory, James Conner caught a pass for 8 yards, and carried four times for 35 yards, including the 12-yard go-ahead touchdown. Then in the possession that drained the clock and iced the outcome, Conner carried three times for 30 yards. Conner finished with 109 yards on 18 carries (6.1 average) and the one touchdown to go along with four catches for 40 more yards. On a day when he finished with 149 yards from scrimmage in the Steelers' 28-21 victory, Conner is the Steelers Digest Player of the Week.

Also considered were Ben Roethlisberger, who completed 23-of-36 (63.9 percent) for 237 yards, with two touchdowns, no interceptions, and a rating of 101.3; T.J. Watt, who had four tackles, one sack, and four hits on the quarterback; Stephon Tuitt, who had four tackles, including one for loss, a sack, and four hits on the quarterback; Mike Hilton, who had seven tackles, including one for loss, and the interception that started the Steelers on their game-winning touchdown drive; and JuJu Smith-Schuster, who caught four passes for 43 yards, including a 26-yard touchdown, plus a two-point conversion reception that doesn't count on his individual statistics.

On the game's two most critical possessions, he rushed for 65 yards, including a 12-yard TD

Nice to see JC healthy and playing well.

The rook looked pretty good too.

                      Hope it continues.

Conner trying to make me like him again. OK, never really disliked him just frustrated the guy couldn't stay on the field. Still a whole lot of football left and I expect Tomlin to just keep feeding him the ball until the inevitable happens. Having McF take some snaps was also really good to see. Great change of pace back for the Steelers.
