In the process of signing him.
It makes a lot more sense for us than them.
It would be a better situation for Winston too.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?
Signing Winston would improve the team if 7 went down no doubt. A very good insurance policy.
However if I could use the $$$$ to sign a Harrison or Ogletree who would move right to the top of our depth chart and start over a good back up I'm buying the starter. Lets see what move or moves we make in the week ahead.
I’d rather take a gamble on Newton if they were to sign a FA QB.
Injured, prima Donna that only cares about himself, not winning, not a team guy.
Definitely would be a distraction.
Though we were trying to distance ourselves from those types.

Right now, Cam is getting a hard dose of reality. And he could come in with a new attitude because of this dose of reality.
Winston throws a record amount of interceptions. So much so he got lasik in the offseason. I don’t want either FA but I want nothing to do with Winston.

We are. That's why we won't sign him.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:
TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher
Before he agreed to a deal with the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Jameis Winton reportedly received an offer from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
They might not be as sold on Rudolph as some of us thought they were. Wonder who else they might make an offer to?
I would be cool with signing the guy. If the price was right.
Yeah, he threw a bunch of picks.
Dude literally "couldnt see straight" and he got his eyes fixed?
Outside the picks there is a lot to like as a backup then heir to Ben.

Strange. I think Winston had a much better chance to play and put himself in a position to make some money next year signing with us instead.
