Let me say this first, I am a big fan of Mike Hilton’s and how we use him in our D. That said, I acknowledge what this article says about him in coverage. This article also explains why a well devised scheme on D and each player playing and understanding their role is key. I’ve always said that the brilliance of Ryan Clark was his ability to allow Troy to be Troy, and that worked great for us until Troy lost a few steps. It all fits together.
