They give their opinion, as that's what they are paid to do. Sometimes they are right, sometimes they are wrong, but as long as people watch and/or listen, that's all that matters. I happen to think both are often right. Colin was one of the 1st to accurately predict that the Browns would not live up to their hype last year. He nailed it, while most all other media folk were slobbering over them. He never did.
Most of Skip's bad calls are when he goes all rose colored glasses on the Cowboys (but he doesn't always, and isn't now, but he did last year).
Skip is the same way. He has his favorites and a group of athletes he roots against.Steelers 27

Predicting the Browns wouldn’t live up to the hype is easy money. Thing is.. Cowherd has an obsession with Baker so he will continue to trash him like he does with a certain group of individuals.

I don't think BM is a fraud. Just needs a system that is tailored to his skills. And that doesn't mean throwing a bunch of talented players on the field and telling him to go make plays, which is what the previous staff did.Comment

Noticed that too, BM can do no right in Cowherds mind.

they believed too much of their own hype.
i think they are probably humbled now
not too many teams make a dramatic jump in one year.
there usually needs to be some growing pains for every team taking the next step
i can see us battling them for the #7 seedHow is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

That's not just my opinion. That's the opinion of the majority. We all saw the O-line even before Ben got hurt. If we get that same O-line performance that we saw in the first game and a half (and through out the season basically) , it doesn't matter who your skill position people are. They won't be nearly as effective as you want them to be. And that's a fact.Last edited by Steel Maniac; 04-02-2020, 10:29 AM.Comment
