Most of Skip's bad calls are when he goes all rose colored glasses on the Cowboys (but he doesn't always, and isn't now, but he did last year).
3/4 of this poster room predicted the browns wouldn't live up to the hype. LOL

Agreed. I'd be VERY surprised if our 1st pick is an OL.

Can’t “ win now” when your O-line isn’t up to snuff.

As did I, big time. But Colin was one of the only talking heads in sports media who did.

Nope. Cowherd and Skips jocks are sniffers.

Predicting the Browns wouldn’t live up to the hype is easy money. Thing is.. Cowherd has an obsession with Baker so he will continue to trash him like he does with a certain group of individuals.

Skip is the same way. He has his favorites and a group of athletes he roots against.

Noticed that too, BM can do no right in Cowherds mind.
I don't think BM is a fraud. Just needs a system that is tailored to his skills. And that doesn't mean throwing a bunch of talented players on the field and telling him to go make plays, which is what the previous staff did.

I too think Mayfield is legit but the dysfunctionality of that franchise has neutered him down. I liked Mayfield coming out of college but I'm happy the Browns are still as dysfunctional as ever.

they believed too much of their own hype.
i think they are probably humbled now
not too many teams make a dramatic jump in one year.
there usually needs to be some growing pains for every team taking the next step
i can see us battling them for the #7 seed
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

which when it comes to Steel Maniac's opinion, is absolutely worthless...

Browns went with the wrong guy (kitchens). Should have gone with the guy who got it started in the right direction (G Williams).

That's not just my opinion. That's the opinion of the majority. We all saw the O-line even before Ben got hurt. If we get that same O-line performance that we saw in the first game and a half (and through out the season basically) , it doesn't matter who your skill position people are. They won't be nearly as effective as you want them to be. And that's a fact.
