How Did Pouncey Make The Pro Bowl?

I may be in the minority, but I think our C play was better when Pouncey was out.

Another 4 horrible snaps so far by my count.

Wether it’s MR or Duck, he’s not helping either. And he’s letting pressure up the middle too. What gives? Seriously, has he had a nagging injury or 2 all season?

For the record, I posted this before he went down. I wish him well and like Pouncey a lot.

      Posted by me YEARS AGO;

      2015 without Pouncey we had:
The most rushing touchdowns since we drafted Pouncey.
Old man backup Williams led the AFC with 11 touchdowns. NONE longer than six yards, mostly interior runs.
He scored 10 times in 16 attempts within the 5.
Perhaps you say it was because Williams was a touchdown machine, well he bested 11 only once in his long career years ago in his prime.

To further dash any thought that it was Williams magic, Bell when healthy also scored 2 out of his 3 attempts within the 5.

Between the two we were a RIDICULOUS 12 touchdowns in 19 attempts from within the 5.

We also had the best, highest scoring red zone offense since the day we acquired Pouncey (gotta go back to 2007 for a better red zone offense).

It was the ONE SEASON we ran predictably up the middle with no fear and scored at will.

I dont just spout stats my friend, I bring stats that directly relate to a center's contributions to the team.

And our interior run offense was NEVER BETTER since the year Pouncey was drafted than the one season Pouncey missed entirely.

Please Dizz.....share with the class the specific way we miss Pouncey when he is gone that makes him worth the big money he makes that could be used to strengthen the team elsewhere??

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

      TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

BJ had a snap that could have been what cost us the game. If we had decent snaps thru the game, there’s a chance we win here.

Pouncey is overrated, has been for years.

The O Line has been the most disappointing group by far. Tons of pressure coming from right up the gut.

There were a few times Duck tried to step up in the pocket...and had nowhere to go. I can expect marginal play from Rookie QBs.. Wrs.. RBs from time to time... but our OLine (with 3 pro bowlers is vastly underperforming.

Yup. Pouncey is overrated, but Finney is not better. Didn't he also step on Rudolph's foot, leading to the injury that took MR out of the game?

Blah blah blah... it’s 2019 and Conner can’t stay healthy, JuJu missed half the season, Ben is out and we have a bunch of kids playing RB this year... oh, and we are on our 4th string QB.

We also have an OC who hasn’t shown anyone he is up to par.

Pouncey isn’t the problem with this OL. We can barely string together a drive. This is the wrong year for anyone to scream I told you so about what happened 4 years ago.

Anyone that thinks Pouncey's play this season was pro bowl worthy just wasn't watching the games.

Pouncey was never strong against bull rushers and now with age, he has become noticeably worse. And snaps that get to the QB in random spots is something an NFL starting center should never have a problem with.

I don’t think anyone on here thought he was pro bowl worthy.
