The honest truth is the Steelers kept the OL together for the benefit of Roethlisberger. It is now coming back to haunting them and in a big way.
Just when the team will need a solid OL to help a young QB, they won't have it.
Bad strategy by the Steelers who should have been looking for upgrades the last 4 years. Unfortunately they also needed mad attention on the defense.
Was a good play going in with a Ben lead offense, can easily be fixed by cap cuts. Now how would the team react to Pouncey being cut...

the OL ranked very high last year. and they've spent plenty of assets in getting it there
in addition to the first rounders on pouncey and DD. gilbert (traded last offseason) was a 2nd rd pick along with michael admas who was a bust. but they got good play out of Villa and beachum before that, a late rd pick and FA
they could use a tweek or 2. as said, foster looks just about done.
hopefully chuks or banner can take over at RT and have fieler slide into ramon's spot.
and they may need a better coach for the unit.
this constant promoting from within is getting tiresome
