Steelers 6 million.................with only 39 under contract
Not sure how many players the rest of our division has locked up, but we aren't in the best position in our division.

Our credit card is usually pretty maxed out at the start of every year. And we find a way to kick the balance forward to the next year.

Not much different than many companies with a veteran workforce. Lots of valuable experience, but high wage costs, and declining performance.

What would a Fortune 500 do? .... start whacking, get under budget. Initially will feel the pain of too deep cuts, lack of experience. Eventually order is restored, company moves forward, life goes on.

Been through it a few times in my days...

Fans won't want to hear this but history tells us the Steelers will undergo a number of years looking for that next franchise QB. The thing I think is encouraging is that it might be a shorter time looking since QBs seem more pro ready these days.
