velocity is not normally a factor when your average attempt is what it has been (under this OC's playcalling). i would agree that his pocket pressence has to get better.. alot of those throws that appear to be lacking in zip have more to do with his not getting his feet set and or throwing off of his back foot

different.. yes.. but to completely discard MRs potential future with the team.. when his numbers are identical to Ben's at basically the same point in Ben's career... is honestly foolish and delusionalComment

You got that right
Still, if not for about a half-dozen drops by his receivers, Mason would've had (for him) a pretty fair passing day. He needs to work on pocket awareness, and technique, and reading defenses, but I think some of that will come with more game experience ... at least I hope so.Comment

and youd hope those things would come with experience. We have to remember that MR basically had last year off (in terms of game reps).. and was limited with 1st team reps until about a month agoYou got that right

Rudolph has no running game to support him. Roethlisberger had HOF Bettis. That's a hell of a safety blanket.
I like the rapport Rudolph is developing with Washington. I see Rudolph's confidence building each week.
But, at some point he will be asked to win a game for the Steelers instead of no losing it. Not sure if he will be the guy, but still early.Comment

Foolish and delusional describes the vocal glass half empty crowd on this board

where have I done that? I said last week he has shown some poise
you, on the other hand, are comparing him to a 1st ballot HOF whose game resembles nothing like one anothersComment

Mason and this offense are frustrating to watch. So many mistakes, turnovers and dumb plays.
This D tho... amazing.
Switzer sucks. Why would you catch a ball at the 5 and run sideways? I don’t wish injury on anyone but since he’s injured, I hope he takes the rest of the season to get healthy.
In spite of all that ugly we still beat up a decent team.
All criticism of Tomlin and Butler should cease for the rest of this year. This D has turned a hopeless season around.Comment

dude.. im comparing the two in terms of where they were at this point in their respective first years.. you asked for facts.. i gave you statistical facts.. i didnt say they were the same type of qb. Im just saying its foolish to write off MR because hes performing at the same level stats wise as ben did... with a hell of alot less than what ben hadComment

Man the comments on Rudy is just crazy up and down. He has a winning record and a 10/4 TD vs Int (2 int's were not his fault). The guy is basically a rookie and has 7 starts. He has had very little support in the run game and shaky at best recievers. Yes we are winning with the defense but Mason is doing great. He needs much better pocket awareness and get rid of the ball on time. Stop comparing to Ben.Comment
