With so much money at stake...such a waste.
And it's a bye week. If you're going to break your contract and smoke, at least go somewhere it's legal so they have to catch you with a random test instead of having the police report.Comment

I disagree. He could have smoked at home and got drug tested the next day.
For the record, I think marijuana should be legal.
With that said, if your employer doesn't allow, and especially if they test randomly, don't f'in smoke it or face the consequences. Ruin your career but don't expect sympathy or use the excuse that "it should be allowed".
I wish I could smoke but I have a lot to lose if I do. It's illegal at the federal level so it doesn't matter what state I live in. I can get randomly drug tested every 30 days. So, I don't do it. It's not difficult.
NFL players have a lot more money to lose than I do. I don't understand how people are willing to risk their livelihood for marijuana. I think it's pathetic especially when playing a game and making millions of dollars is on the line.Last edited by steelz09; 11-04-2019, 12:56 AM.Tomlin: Let's unleash hell and "mop the floor" with the competition.Comment

I would love to partake because I think it would help my restless legs but I work on Federal contracts so that's a no-go.As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.
but Go Steelers!!!

If you are a user while employed where I work, you will no longer have a job.I disagree. He could have smoked at home and got drug tested the next day.

Legalization does not mean it's acceptable everywhere. Which is actually a very good thing.Comment

The NFL tests once a year for weed, during or around OTAs, in small groups. Guys LOVE to be in group 1, because then they can go back to smoking safely for another year. Watch this video - it is pretty enlightening to the world of the NFL and marijuana
Had Snell not gone out driving, he would have been free and clear and would not have gotten drug tested unless he was already in the NFL's program for some reason. The 'risk' of losing it all in the NFL for smoking weed is very, very small if you are smart about it.

and thankfully my employment agreement has a section explicitly stating that employees using medical marijuana will not have that held against them unless they are using during work hoursComment

A young neighbor just lost his job because they did a random drug test at work and he had THC in his system. It was a good job with medical, retirement, 401K, etc. I told him, "I hope those highs were worth throwing away your work career." He'll probably spend the next 20 years living in his parents' basement.
Don't care how good you think a drug is, that's just dumb.Comment
