I don't think you count on anything when you're using quarterbacks that were supposed to either be carrying the clipboard or getting on with their life's work. Guaranteed wins for this team are non-existent and now injuries are piling up, Tuitt, Nelson, Watt, don't know the extent but Watt was out in crunch time and Tuitt didn't lay after he left the game. Burns replaced Nelson and did his job for the most part, how long the Steelers can go without their best cornerback (so far this season) remains to be seen. A win is a win for this team, hopefully, Seattle will do the Steelers a solid this coming weekend at their place.

Pappy, they beat a team with no offensive line. The chargers are one of the few teams with more injuries then us. LOL But again, I'll take the victory. But it's nothing to beat our chest about IMO.

These are not victories to brag about but they are games we are suppose to win. And we did. No need to blame or praise Tomlin. We are beating the bottom feeders. I’m happy about those victories and happy we have a bye week. Because it’s much needed.
Who have the cheaters beaten? We play who we play. On any given Sunday, anyone can beat anyone.

I've been critical of Tomlin in the past. But I have to give him credit for what we're seeing on Defense right now. It's looking pretty special. And that we're scoring some points on offense with a 3rd string QB, no AB, no Bell, bent-finger Moncrief, oft-injured McDonald, injured Washington and Switzer.

Have to wonder when the damn is going to break in regard to all the injuries this team suffered. Coaches can only mask the loss of players for so long before they are exposed by other teams.

Every win counts. Every win is big when a team is struggling to win.

Did you not read when I said, " I"m not being critical of Tomlin"?? I'm not. I'm not saying anything bad about Tomlin in regards to the Charger game. He did nothing wrong. Nothing at all.

And your right; The Patriots have played the easiest schedule of all the NFL. But they are the champs and they get the benefit of the doubt until they lose. That's life in the NFL . They don't play anyone until they play the Eagles in week 11 IMO. I don't think the Ravens or the Browns will beat the Patriots.

And I've said that I'll take the win; we don't make the schedule and we can only play who's on the schedule. It was a team win last night for sure.

That's why this bye came at the perfect time if you ask me. We need a chance to heal up. Usually our bye is like in week 10 or something but this couldn't be more perfect for us.

The Eagles secondary is trash this year. Truly awful.

There banged up. They may be healthy by then. But I don't see any other team between now and week 11 to give them some run.

I get that, all I"m saying is that "expecting" the Steelers to win games with the current roster and injuries is stretching it a bit, they will be fighting for every win. I personally, think the coaching staff in general has done a good job getting the team ready and with a game plan that can win the game that they are playing at that moment. The first two games, not so much, but since Rudolph and Hodges have had to take over for Ben the team has looked far more ready to win games (and should have) than they did early on.

It was interesting to hear during the broadcast last night that Tomlin apparently said that it's refreshing for him to focus on getting back to basics and not winning with style points. It was like he was saying that with Ben, they HAD to play a certain way that was focused on style points.

My guess is that if that was directed at a particular player, it was AB.

We had to win AND make sure he got enough touches / yards

I found that quite interesting myself. He sounded like he was liberated in a sense. Something to keep our eyes on down the line.

Good grief. The anti-Tomlin crowd moaned about his record against sub .500 teams, and now when he does get those wins, still moaning about them 'not beating anyone'.
It's getting tougher and tougher to see any rational thinking by some people.

Our schedule to start the year was daunting. I thought we'd be 3-3 by the break. hoping for 4-2. I thought our defense would still struggle and ben would have to win us games. With what's happened to the team I'm surprised we're actually 2-4. The defense is playing better than I thought. The offense needs no explanation.

Bottom line, who knows what will happen this year? But based on what I thought would happen - it's pretty obvious why i'm not a coach in the NFL.
