did you fall asleep before the game was over?
sutton had to make a pretty good play covering the onside kick. soooo, there was actually a little doubt to the outcome at the end despite yinz being up 21 nothing at the half.
the chargers had zero going for them in the first half. got inside the 10 and moved back. then they missed a FG.
if they stop the clock after the 3rd down play there's more then a minute left in the half.
You should go for the throat there.
a short drive and a Fg there, as it turned out, and the end of the game is meaningless.
40 yards to drive for a FG with 3 timeout IIRC vs. kneeling on the ball knowing a 3 TD lead will always be enough vs. the chargers.
just like last year right?? you should apply to be an ASSistant for coach peezyComment

Winning on the road on the west coast with a rookie UDFA QB with other significant injuries on O and D is just a pathetic display of coaching.
Don't you see how zealously anchoring on a belief for Tomlin is forcing you to make (and then defend) terrible arguments?

Up 21 to 0, we get the ball first in the second half and Tomlin gets blame for not taking a timeout.
We see what happened when Duck tried to push the ball downfield in the second half. I’m ok with kneeling on it instead of trying to get points when up by 21 on the road.Comment

I’m not blaming Tomlin or praising him. We beat the bengals ( one of the worse , if not the worse team in the league) ; we beat a charger team with no offensive line and we are going to beat a tanking dolphins team. These are not victories to brag about but they are games we are suppose to win. And we did. No need to blame or praise Tomlin. We are beating the bottom feeders. I’m happy about those victories and happy we have a bye week. Because it’s much needed.Comment

You are in a precarious position with Tomlin and the Steelers.I’m not blaming Tomlin or praising him. Yeah, on the road, with a UDFA rookie QB, and a 21-0 halftime lead, the conservative approach was the way to go. I was fine with it. Much better chance of a pick or a sack/fumble than pushing the ball for a score. It’s so bad.. lol.

Why would the Steelers be expected to win these games? They are currently playing with their 3rd or 4th string quarterback however you want to count them and they were 6 point dogs on the road last night. Against Cincinnati the Steelers were playing against a veteran quarterback who has played well in his career and we were starting our backup quarterback in his 2nd start as a pro. I don't think you count on anything when you're using quarterbacks that were supposed to either be carrying the clipboard or getting on with their life's work. Guaranteed wins for this team are non-existent and now injuries are piling up, Tuitt, Nelson, Watt, don't know the extent but Watt was out in crunch time and Tuitt didn't lay after he left the game. Burns replaced Nelson and did his job for the most part, how long the Steelers can go without their best cornerback (so far this season) remains to be seen. A win is a win for this team, hopefully, Seattle will do the Steelers a solid this coming weekend at their place.I’m not blaming Tomlin or praising him. Not at all; Tomlin didn't do anything really wrong in my opinion in last nights game. I'm not going to say something about him that isn't the truth. But we are beating beat up and bottom feeder teams. Now don't get me wrong, we can only play what the schedule dictates. But at the same time, let's not pretend we're world beaters either.
We'll beat the Dolphins and then we start playing more legit teams in the Colts and Rams. But we beat a team with no offensive line and I'll gladly take it.Comment
