The defense is last on the list of issues toady, offense, special teams, then the defense. They are keeping it close. Keep Mason throwing the short stuff that gains small yards but moves the chains and run the ball, they've been successful running the ball, Rudolph should only be looking downfield if they receiver is wide open, he doesn't appear ready for the entire offense just yet.

At the half, the Ravens have 50% more TOP. More plays, more 1st downs, etc.
This D creates some TOs, but the offense doesn’t control the clock at all. We’re just seeking 1 big play.
Yup, the offense needs to give them a breather or the defense will be tired in the 2nd half.

Defense looked pretty good to me in the second half and in OT. Guess need something else to complain about. I did notice they seemed to be be sweating alot. Our terrible coaches need to solve that problem

I'm sure it's been pointed out, but for two untimely fumbles this team could very well be 4-1.
Thinking about all the offensive woes and defensive changes, they are not far away from the winners column sans a few plays.
I'm actually excited about this team even though they are losing. The defense is young, fast and getting better play by play. The offense, while disappointing, has shown signs of life. The offense in general can't afford turnovers and penalties, they just aren't good enough to overcome them. The special teams are a dumpster fire and particularly the return units, they need to be revamped. I believe this team will win 7,8 or 9 games this season but hopefully be primed for a playoff run this year. If they can get to 9 wins this year, the playoffs may not be out of the question.
Either way, I think its going to be an exciting year, albeit frustrating.

I share your enthusiasm. We have had things go against us: Losing starting QB who was playing injured, losing #2 QB in a game that if he wasn't knocked out I believe we would have won, fumbles, etc
I am also loving seeing the emerging defense. Young and fast. Get another good young ILB and I think we will be on the verge of something special.
Agree that Special Teams are a mess. I supported Switzer but he has done nothing. I guess with Washington out Switzer will be in there getting some catches.

This season feels like the polar opposite of last. Last year, the offense was explosive and the defense, special teams sucked. This year the offense is terrible and I’m not complaining anymore about the defense or Boswell.

It’s been a while since I’ve been excited to see our D take the field.
I think it’s also the untimely turnovers that have cost us 2 or 3 games.
I wonder why we aren’t spending more time griping about these turnovers. That’s the real problem with this team.. not timeouts or challenges.
I’m still excited to watch this team even tho they aren’t winning right now.
Crazy seeing the Browns get destroyed by a team we probably should’ve beat if not for a late fumble.
