Exactly. I think Tomlin might be borderline retarded.
Tomlin: Let's unleash hell and "mop the floor" with the competition.

What if we accepted and went and scored. That would have been game.
We had the ball and only needed a FG and didnt get it. Why would we have gotten a TD if we had the ball first. And besides, if our opening possession starts with a KO return, we start at about the 15 yard line. Wasnt our starting position better than that the first time we got the ball in OT?

I’m still mad about that bogus roughing the passer call.

These refs were terrible today. Made it hard to watch and enjoy the game.
that call on OLA was a turning point.. weve seen it happen a million times over the years.. knew we were destined for a bad outcome after that call

Or maybe people that post on message boards know less about football than they think they do?

Even if they did play football in HS and watch it a lot on TV.

So you know you don't have a chance to score a TD, or have a big return or have them kick off into the endzone?
Our QB was able to move the ball and make some throws earlier.
Woukdacouldashoulda excuses for making a stupid decision.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

If a decision that worked out is 'stupid ' then what is a decision that doesn't work out called?

Just because it works out doesn't make it smart
Go bang a hooker without protection after she tells you she has 5 STDs. Just because you don't catch anything doesn't make your decision an intelligent one.

don't bother stressing to the team about ball control coach peezy.

So, which is more likely to happen?

A 75 yard TD drive with your 3rd string quarterback (assuming a KO into the end zone) or
A 39 yard drive (The Steelers started on their 31 yard line) to try a 47 yard FG to win the game

In both scenarios you win the game

Or you kick to them and they score a TD or they kick the fg and your 3rd string qb can't even move the ball enough to set up a fg.
                        Either way you lose.

They hadn't moved the ball consistently for the better part of the 2nd half. Why would you believe they were going on a 75 yard drive at that point? You don't, your defense had been very good late in the game.

Because they believe that every decision Tomlin makes is the worst decision ever.

Since we decided to defer, it's obviously terrible.

Confirmation bias is a hell of a drug.
