    Do I Have This Right?

With a win tonight we are only one game out of the AFC North lead despite a terrible start?

I think so! A win tonight would have the division like this

    Clowns: 2-2
    Ratbirds: 2-2
    Steelers: 1-3
    Bungles: 0-4

BIG game tonight. If we come out flat, on a Monday night, against the Bungles, we deserve last place.

Yep. Ravens and Browns are both 2-2. Hard to believe we’d only be a game out at 1-3.

And we'd still control our destiny. Even if we go 0-4, we have time to turn this around thanks to a crappy AFC and AFCN.

OK. I'm liking our chances.Browns are all over the place. I said early in the season that the Lamar Jackson led Ravens are going to come crashing to earth. I'm liking our chances for 9-7 and winning the North

One of the reasons I didn’t think it was time to panic.

Don’t all of these in the AFCN still have to face the Pats, Seahawks and 49ers?

            AFC is down this year.

Well, Cincy played both Seattle and San Francisco already. But Baltimore and Cleveland still have to play each of them.

Our opponents so far (NE, SEA, SF) have a combined 10-1 record overall this season.
Cincy's opponents so far (SEA, SF, BUF) have a combined 9-2 record overall this season.
Cleveland's opponents so far (TEN, NYJ, LAR, BAL) have a combined 7-8 record overall this season.
Baltimore's opponents so far (MIA, ARZ, KC, CLE) have a combined 6-9-1 record overall this season.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Steelers have an interesting stretch. They have played 2 of 3 on the road so far.
They now have 5 of the next 6 at home - including a bye week and a trip out west.
They close with 5 of 7 on the road with a third trip out west.

Logistically this is a tough schedule, and if there is any chance to come back it will require near perfection the next 6 games. I know, I know, so far there is no reason to believe we can win tonight, nevermind near perfection, but just stating it as a scheduling issue.

Thanks, I definitely meant among the teams we are chasing in our division.

If we lose tonight, it just might be time!

I'd say the good news in all of this is 2 of our losses came at the hands of NFC opponents.
Steelers still have the entire division to play....but then you remember Ben is done for the season and our coaching staff is still the same.

I want to be optimistic especially in Rudolph and the fact that we could contend for the division.

Then, reality strikes and I think of our coaching staff and our ability to lose games we should win.

I'm am more optimistic in our D than I have been in awhile. We have youth and talent thanks to the huge amount of investments we've made. Tons of high draft picks and trades. Our D should be dominant but sadly, it won't be. It'll probably be just 'ok' rather than terrible.

tbh, I have no idea how Keith Butler hasn't been fired yet...

Looks like we all play each other twice as usual.
We all have the AFC East & NFC West (Pats, Bills, Jets, Dolphins , Rams, Seahawks, 49ers Cardinals)
Because we finished second last year in our division, we get the Chargers and Colts, who also finished second in their respective divisions.
Because Ravens finished first, they get Chiefs and Texans who also won their respective divisions.

                            There's all 16 games

Obviously you haven't seen his record.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?
