In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

      Man, losing sucks....lol
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

Rumblings are that the Jets may look to trade Jamal Adams.

Package up Artie Burns, Sean Davis, and Edmunds and ship them away for Adams, and put him at the back end with Minkah. Then we could really make a case for having the best young safety tandem.

Why not. We'd definitely have the best pair of young safeties.

But we'd probably have to give up our 2021 1st rounder which on some level might be worth it if we didn't already have Edmunds. I think we'd just stick with Edmunds and hope his play catches up to his athleticism this season.

I still think Edmunds has a lot of potential even though he's nowhere close to Adams as a player.

At some point players need to be coached up and put in the best position to succeed.
You can't expect to field a team that in superior at every position.

I have an idea, let's save the picks we'd have to give up for Adams and have the coaching staff to get the defense, communicating, understanding their assignments (dumb it down if you have to) and tackling, let's see if that works. It seems to work for other teams. We can't have the best players at every position and even if we did, I'm not sure they would be successful in the current environment.

I have never been a fire the coaching staff guy but this group needs to start showing something, anything except the two dumpster fires we've seen so far this year and last year's team wasn't that great either. A lot of this has been going on for so many years now that it's almost an expectation that the offense will be above average but not great and the defense will have issues all over the place.

I almost expect Minkah Fitzpatrick to not be used correctly and the defense will still be bad, not communicating, etc.

This group would probably put Ed Reed in as a box safety and expect him to be a HOFer.

He already played in a different system. Half the time, he was playing zone and the rest of the D was playing man.
