And it's easy to see us finishing below 500 after an 0 - 2 start and the loss of a HoF QB.

You are correct. The Tomlin haters get some ancillary good ammo here. They’re popping champagne with the Ben haters once again.

The way the offense looked under Ben, we weren't making the playoffs with him either, unless things changed significantly.

Chalk this season up to finding out what we have in Rudolph. He impresses me as a student of the game. Hopefully we see him improve week-to-week on the field.

Here’s my rose colored glasses thought.

Really tough to replace a HOF QB.

                That being said:

                Rudolph has the skills
                He’s young and fearless
He’s not old, jaded or a diva
He won’t be the leader because it’s bestowed upon him. He’ll have to earn it.
Fichtner won’t be ‘his guy’ or taking orders, he’ll be the one in charge.
The receivers have no cushion now. They know they have to be there for mason
The defense has to come together NOW.

Odds are long - but this could work. Get a W next week and let’s see how it unfolds.

I think it's 50/50 if Ben comes back next year. Or I should say he comes back but may retire after seeing if the old noodle is capable.
Too bad. This isn't the way o HOF qb should go out.
He had a few years left to pad his stats anyway.
I am excited to see what Rudolph can do tho.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

I hate to see anyone's season ended but knowing Rudolph is the guy from here on out is a bit exciting, in an otherwise, very disappointing start to the season.

                    Go Rudolph! Go Steelers!

Tomlin’s gonna need to dust off the old Dick Vermeil speech where he tells us something about rallying around Mason Rudolph and playing good football. Couldn’t hurt.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

Completely changes my outlook to games. Instead of going into a game expecting to win (dominate) I can look at it as a chance to win.
The Steelers still have a good core of players that could rally around MR.

WILL AB SEND ROETHLISBERGER A GET WELL CARD AFTER THE SURGERY?
