I wonder how much of the fun has to do with being pretty much done with the business side of football? He got what would almost surely be his last contract in the off-season. It might be nice just being confident in what you have but not having to prove it to anyone else to make a buck.

I think this has everything to do with it, his legacy is cemented and the organization has locked him up until his retirement with a nice chunk of change.
