    The Predicted Mock

Here is my final mock, ending the themes.

Here is what I am predicting that we do, not what I really want. If it was up to me, I would trade the house for White or even Oliver, then I would consider Hockenson, Bush, or even a trade back for more picks in the 2nd, 3rd. If we stay pat I would love to get Burns, Sweat, or Murphy.

1.20) Savage S- he checks all the boxes, they love him, he is a playmaker, fills a need as 3rd safety, maybe even shift Davis back in the box.
2.52) ******Wilson ILB- the dude is talented, maybe still raw. He is going to slide, run on S, WR, CB and the remaining top DL.
3.66) Layne CB- full house to see him at pro day, and was an invite.
3.83) Winovich OLB - another full house sent to see him or was it for Bush, dinner. Fills a void depth and maybe push Dupree, even if we extend Dupree will make a good 3 man rotation. After all OLB is heart of the Steeler's D.
4.122) *****Mack DL- here is the lone "Texas" player who I think Colbert loves. Adds youth to our DL. Maybe permit a 4-3 sub package.
5.175) Mack- TE- we sent the house to ND and they brought him as an invite.
    6) Sills WR- his athleticism is questionable this deep draft at WR drops him.
    6) Pollard- he is a gadget RB player. Adds another dimension to our RB core.
    6) Johnson Wr Toledo- ST/WR
    7) Ty Johnson RB/ST

*****From Tomlins Presser, his praise of Washington makes me wonder, is that just smoke, and they plan on taking a WR early. If that is the case of BS, I can see them taking one in the 2nd ( 3 years now in row we take a WR in the 2nd)

*****If we miss out on Wilson, we will take an ILB in the 4th round David Long WV or Tranquil ND ( he has red flags with injuries ( both knees) and he is now just gaining his full mobility/athleticism back. Another is Gary Johnson "Texas-Colbert/invite". Although we want an ILB bad, I don't think we can reach for one besides trading for White or Bush. Is there anyone who can supplant Barron as our ILB in the draft besides the Devins, or Wilson?

I still think they will still draft Sills, they are in love with him.

I don't get the love with Sills. He is not the most athletic and worse yet he has drops issues. No way I would use a draft pick on him. IMO he is UDFA material.

I can see a WR in Round 2 or 3. IMO you can never have enough good ones.

George, that would be a good haul, if it were to work out that way.

I'd love to get Winovich at 3.83, but I think he will be long gone by then. However, I've got Montez Sweat coming to us at 1.20 in my mock, and I know that's not too realistic. Guess we're both looking to get an edge rusher on a bit of a bargain.

I think last chance, if even then, we'll have to get Winovich is 3.66

            Ending the themes? Really?

C'mon man...you can't avoid the obvious theme here.

You suggest drafting MACK Wilson (to play MACK linebacker), then drafting DT Daylon MACK, and then finally TE Alize MACK.

(Not to mention that Darnell Savage and Chase Winovich both hit like MACK trucks).

It's obviously your MACK MOCK, dude...
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I like Savage but not at 20. We got burned with a smaller Senquez Golson a few years back. Don't see us taking the chance again at 20 and I like Savage. He does NOT check the size box and size is a talent. I love his range ,closing speed and ability to walk out as a slot corner and play recognition is excellent however not at 20. If he was our first selection at say 34 I'm good knowing we either have another early 3 or late 2 for the move back.
If it went exactly as Steeler George drew it up it would be real nice. If we traded back a bit n did the same selections nicer still but all good imho.

Like Winovich but he is likely on round 2 radar and we had dinner with that dude so he is a logical choice.

Layne and Sills to me are excellent choices. Sills will out play his draft position. Just makes plays in the red zone. Layne is a excellent corner who can play outside the #'s.

I'm seeing reports of Mack Wilson sliding into the second round. What if he's on the board when we select in the 2nd? Because of value + need, do we have to take him?

I've never seen him projected higher than 2nd Round during the entire draft run up

Even if we did NOT take an ilb with our first pick it would depend on who else is there. Wilson is solid but who else is out there. If a corner like Baker or a DL like Lawrence is still there you got to take the better player regardless of need. (signing f/a's Barron,Nelson n Moncrief should keep us from reaching).

I think his stock is dropping with other's rising. Sounds contradicting to my mock on who I think they will draft, but I think they should skip OLB and see what they plan on doing with Dupree and where OLA is at in his development.

I am not so sure if he is a reach at 20 anymore, there seems to be a connection. But as I said , if Burns or Sweat drop we have to take them.

I love Savage, have a late first on Him only because of his size. But I liked him more when scouts had him as a late second. I don’t get the love for Winovich aka Chickillo 2.0, nor dropsy Sills. Not a massive fan of Mack either after further review. Let me clarify Mack the LB, I know nothing about Mack the TE.
