We are a week away from the draft; Give me your final Mock draft for rounds 1-5

Why so bold? NT in the first?

The middle of our D is a wreck. Need a strong anchor to free up our ILB.

Hargrave played well and is improving, but is he that "clogging type" of NT who can bring it? He is in his last year as well, if he plays just as good this year as last year he is going to be expensive!
With Hargrave and him we might be able to play some 4-3 packages, have that ameba D.

I would really want White, Hockenson, Bush in that order, but I don't see them sliding to us. ( never know right?) Is there that much difference from the top 3 CB to the next five ( Amani, Layne, Johnson, Love, Long)?

In the second, I can see a run on the WR, CB, S, and OL so I can see the next rated ILB sliding to the 3rd..

1) Lawrence- keep our DL fresh in 3-4, and keep our ILB free and then can flex to a 4-3
2) Layne- need competition for Nelson and maybe move Nelson over Hilton.
3) Wilson- he is going to drop. There is going to be a run on WR, CB and OL in the second.
3) Boykin- WR
4) Sills-WR- too much love by the Steeler brass to pass
5) Moreau-TE

In short we, we focus on solidifing our weakness- the middle of the D.

And then we go post AB and JJ and focus on giving Ben more weapons.

It looks like a dull mock... no stars!

Man...I like this...The ONLY thing I don't like is no RB...But if we could pick up say an Isaiah Crowell type FA...That would work

That's why I believe we shouldn't "Sell the farm" to move up to get either of the Devins. IMO we are in worse shape depth wise at OLB than we are at ILB.

Bold because it's off the usual path of most drafts.

***I can't see Hakeem Butler getting past the top 42 picks in the draft. You got teams like the Pats, Cardinals and Giants down there in the last 15 picks desperatly needing wide receivers.

That's fine, but in this thread, you suggested drafting Devin Bush and Germaine Pratt in the 1st and 3rd round. You list both as OLB, but in our 3-4 defense, they both project to be ILB. You do not suggest drafting an edge rusher early as a potential replacement for Dupree next year.

Replying to someone's post in order to tell that person that you are ignoring their post does not constitute ignoring their post. It's quite the opposite, actually.

In this thread, you asked folks here to post a 5 round mock, so I did. As did several others. Are they all following you around as well?

I have been on this site since 2008 and Ruthless has been one of the best posters here. He never just posts a statement and then that's the end. He lays out why he feels the way he does and uses whatever facts he can find to back up his position. I think he gets your goat because he is hard to argue with and lays out his position so well. It seems to frustrate you when he refutes what you say. I have never seen Ruthless back away from being wrong or blowing his own horn when he is right. The guy is just a solid dude and great resource for this site.
