Former Rams’ LB Mark Barron reached agreement on a two-year, $12 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, per source. A rare free-agent foray for Pittsburgh.

Since joining the Rams via trade from Tampa Bay in 2014, Barron has been a consistent presence in the front seven and defensive backfield. Barron totaled 398 tackles, seven sacks and five interceptions in his five-ish seasons with the franchise. The linebacker missed the first four games of the 2018 season with an ankle injury, but returned in Week 5 and played through Los Angeles' Super Bowl run.Comment

Take on Barron from CBS Sports site:
"Barron made it through three seasons of a five-year, $45 million contract, getting the start in each of his 42 appearances during that stretch. He never lived up to his sizable contract, and the Rams can afford to move on after Cory Littleton emerged as a solid starter at inside linebacker. The 29-year-old converted safety may have to battle for playing time at his next stop."
Doesn't inspire a whole lot of excitement about this pickup, IMO.Comment
