Ben's new contract was supposed to be released a few day's ago. I believe some restructuring is holding it up maybe to get Houston. Ben has been a great team player in the past helping with this.

If we are planning to add Houston, it probably would be a good idea to do it now.

I think that one of the main reasons why the Chiefs chose to let Steven Nelson walk in free agency, trade Dee Ford to SF, and release Justin Houston and Eric Berry was because they needed the cap space to sign Tyreek Hill to a deal potentially bigger than that of AB and OBJ this off-season (plus extend Mahomes to a huuuuuge deal next off-season).

If the new allegations against Tyreek Hill are true, he may be on the Kareem Hunt Express out of Kansas City, meaning that the Chiefs' money that was earmarked for Hill a few days ago could now be used to bring back someone like Justin Houston again.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

If they lose Tyrek, are they still favorites for AFCW or would that be SD? Or maybe the Raiders!

Back to Houston. Is this rumor dead? It’s been awfully quiet.

How many times have we seen a player "rumored" to be close to a deal or down to 2 teams they've ended up somewhere else.

Golden Tate for example: I heard he was at Boston Airport after I heard it was down to the Steelers and Patriots. Ended up in NY.

The Frenzy is over - now Houston is probably waiting on the highest bidder.

I think we will start to hear news of the remaining players starting mid next week.

Probably finalize Ben's contract and redo - extend Bud's contract first.

Buds getting a sweet guaranteed deal for this yr.
No way is he extending and taking a pay cut, especially if it's to make room for his replacement.

In Buds mind he envisions double digit sacks this season and a big contract at the end of the season.

This will all come down to Ben and Haden to make room.

I've heard teams are scared of Houston's asking price. Rumored to be in the $10 mil/year range

So how much of that $110 mill contract did he collect?

                        Just wondering?

Houston to the Colts. 2 years, $24M. Too rich for my liking...

wooooah...that is too pricey for us. No wonder he quickly dropped out of conversation with us. Colts are trying to position themselves for an AFC Championship game appearance.

They have the most available cap space in the entire league, and before this signing, the only outside free agent they brought in was WR Devin Funchess on a 1 year deal.

I am sort of glad he went somewhere else. I didn't like the risk factor associated with him, but then again he might of turned back t form and been an all pro across from Watt.
