    J. Samuels' role in '19

Can he be our jack -of- all-trades in the offense. Split carries with Conner, our 3rd down back, our 2nd TE, split out as a slot Wr?

I really wonder, how Fichtner and Tomlin see him.

Did he made J.J. dispensable and if we are expecting more things from him.

yes potentially to all of the above... with that being said... i hope we take a RB in round 3-4. A guy like montgomery or b.love would be a huge addition

I'd like to see some packages with Conner and Samuels on the field together. I think the combo is a potential match up nightmare.

We should definitely add a TE
Tomlin: Let's unleash hell and "mop the floor" with the competition.

Word is...Is he lost weight, and worked on his speed to become a better RB...At 240 in college he played TE, Fullback, H-Back, and Tailback...

I thought he looked pretty good for a Big Guy...Might even be better with a little more elusiveness and speed

Definitely will need some sort of H-Back if we don't have a solid #2 TE in place or McD goes down (high possibility)

Look how much better Bell was after he lost weight after his rookie season

I will feel better if we draft Hockensen or Fant and add them to Samuels

Agreed...To both posts...Still " think" we might go TE 1st pick...Use some of those other picks to move up to get that ILB also

His blocking has to improve dramatically.

Agreed. I do like B.Love - my other RB is Benny Snell; He's a solid all-around runner, particularly between the tackles. One simply does not play for Kentucky and get THOSE kinds of stats in the SEC..

He'll be in the rotation and get some reps but JC will get the lions share. A vet may be brought in or a mid rounder like Mike Weber will be added and get some reps to keep everyone fresh. As correctly mentioned by "Oh wowJ" JS will need to block better he had some ole' blocks his rookie year in pass pro.

I really hope they don't run Conner into the ground as an every down back.
I think Samuels can play every and any where on O.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
