i would expect bens deal to be announced today

its a foregone conclusion that it is getting done. no reason not to have it done today so we have extra money to start signing guys tomorrow.
i am curious what are cap space will look like after bens restructure, pouncey and fosters deals , left over from last year and possible cuts today

I don’t know the rules of a restructure but Ben has a $23M cap hit. I’d assume a restructure could lower this big time. They currently have a little over $16M in cap space.

Yeah..that's the goal; to lower the hit. But their being really blazay about it. No urgency. So I have to assume there's no free agent their burning to get. Hope I'm wrong.

We’ll see. It’s still very early. Technically FA hasn’t even started yet.

I doubt we rush to sign anyone until the gold rush slows down.

Would be real surprised if we made a huge FA signing tomorrow.

"the gold rush"...I like that. Hilarious. So,....who's out there that you've still got your eye on in free agency? We are supposedly interested in Roby; that would be a simi huge signing for us. I like the safeties that are still available.

thats the last number i saw also but doesnrt take into account pouncey and foster and AB. (i saw where we actually paid some extra trade tax money to ship him off)

i doubt we do either but once again the steelers are acting like they have an interest in a splash FA (tate and roby.) those guys are gonna be 10+, i would imagine

Steelers are already cap compliant so theres no rush to do anything unless they want to shoot their load on a high priced FA

didnt colbert say they were gonna make a splash?
once again, if its a lock to happen, why not have it done so there is money available?
                    makes no sense.

We might still have added millions by cutting Burnett, Bostic, and resigning Gimble.... and Ben's restructure.

There has to be a reasin why Burnette hasn't been released yet? In works for a trade, he would be a steal, considering how much this years S are making.

The way the market is going, Dupree 's 9 million might be considered a decent price for a starting olb pass rusher.
