If AB is Truly a Problem

Why wouldn't we want to trade him to Cleveland, Baltimore, NE, KC, etc?

If we really believe he's a cancer, then we should want him on one of our AFCN or AFC rivals so he helps that team self destruct?

Because he's proven to be an incredibly productive cancer that causes problems for opposing teams. The change of scenery may mellow him out a little bit, at which point he may no longer be the cancer, but still remain the productive player.

I believe, IIRC, Colbert said he would prefer not to...

Which is far different than "won't"

      A) They know he is talented how do they say it " A million dollar talent, A 10 cent head."
      B) one of the PG guys Bouchette or Dulac responded to a chat ? about how bad would it have been if Tomlin had let AB played:

Mike W.: If Coach Tomlin had allowed AB to play in that final game, what would have been the reaction of the team, in your opinion? I cannot believe that would have had a positive effect. Maybe it was a case of the right thing on the coach's part, although late. But if he had allowed him to play, would he not have risked losing the team?
Gerry Dulac: Mutiny. He almost did anyway. Why do you think they played so poorly and looked so flat in that game? I don't think it was coincidence.

I know we tend to dismiss the media but lets be honest they are much closer to these guys than any of us or the national folks. They probably hear a lot more OTR stuff they cannot attribute to but can allude to in things like a chat. The point is if the above response is true...then AB is the problem and one that he can reconcile with the team.

      C) Pretty sure if New England, Baltimore, Cincy came up with a first this year and next year...the deal is done immediately.

Same reason as Blount. He might not be a cancer on another team for a few years. He wasn’t a cancer for us for a few years.

If AB big chest plays for someone else, ESPECIALLY an AFC North rival, you can bet he’ll be very motivated to prove people wrong, at least for 2 seasons.

If he doesn't get traded, bench him and don't pay him.

Or see how he behaves and then take action. (Although it’s almost impossible to cross that burned bridge)

Nope .. AB blocked the trade by saying he won’t show up if traded to buffalo.

if AB was such a cancer

and so toxic to the locker room, why did so many of you (and colbert) say they shouldnt trade him in division, in conference and especially to NE?

b/c he's that good. You can be really good and be a cancer.

However I wouldn't put AB in the class of TO and Randy Moss - they're full blown AIDS - AB is like melanoma - tolerable but also can kill ya.

This question was already asked by Flippy and answered many times.

Because AB was not a cancer on the Steelers for several years and was extremely productive for those years. He COULD end up being productive again, on another team, with a change of scenery. Why would you intentionally send such a threat to an in-division opponent, giving AB the chance at "revenge" on the Steelers who "so wronged" him?

ummm, because tomlin is great at handling players egos and if he couldnt do it, chances are no one can. so sending him to a rival would hurt their team

and actually, several players said they would welcome him back and they are good friends

because he wasn’t a cancer ON the field.

TO and Moss weren't toxic at first either.... the longer they are "in the money" and on the scene, the more their ego's start to take control of their minds. When all out performance stops talking, the mouth does. These guys get worse as they stay around longer. Just wait, AB will start at a blistering pace with the Raiders, but as the season progresses and his QB takes a beating, he'll see the ball less and less, and the cancerous personality will become more apparent. Just watch.....
