Can Other QBs Play with AB?

Allegedly, AB runs a lot of bad routes. But he's shifty and can create separation. So on the one hand he's talented, but I question if he can make a QB better.

How have guys like Mike Vick, Landry Jones, etc done when Ben has gone down? I really dont remember AB lighting it up without Ben. On the other hand, I seem to remember Landry have a good game throwing to JuJu mentioning specifically that he's a big target, easy to find, and where you expect him to be.

We're gonna probably find out AB's success was no different than Wallace, Holmes, etc. They were good because of Ben.

I think there are a few top-flight QBs who could have a dynamic connection with AB, but for most QBs, he wouldn't be a good fit. Certainly not for young QBs who need to count on their WR running the route he's supposed to.

If he ends up in Arizona or Buffalo or with the Jets, look for fireworks from AB when his stats take a nose-dive.

If they feed him the ball and stroke his.............. ego, for a little while anyway.

I can't wait to find out. I seriously hope it's one of the bottom-feeding QB's. This is one time, I wouldn't mind trading a former Steelers star to the rats. I'd love to watch Jackson "throwing" to AB and see the ensuing pain inflicted on the Gatorade jugs.

It will be tough because AB had a very strong connection with Ben. Ben is the kind of guy who ad libs a lot of plays. He drops back and next thing you know he has escaped a tackle and is rolling out to the right looking for a receiver to break open. First look was usually to Brown who knew what to do. There was also a very nice back shoulder connection between them. The slight underthrow/pushoff that worked so well so many times.

Not saying that AB can only play well with Ben, but I am saying that much of their magic was due to them having a certain chemistry that comes with time, and I don't know how much time he'll have to develop the same chemistry with a new QB.

Not thinking a bottom feeder, thinking more about a young first rounder. The team goes out and gets their new QB a #1 target, and then he has to put up with being overshadowed and overpowered by a ginormous ego.

Of the teams being mentioned, I think most of them would be ill-advised to take him on. I think that a young QB being harassed by the new star receiver, being told that he has to constantly think about getting the ball to him first, being berated if he doesn't, the first time AB finds himself running open and the ball not coming, could be enough to shatter the confidence of a young QB.
