At least in the wild card round. Even the high scoring Chargers won by playing creative, sound defense.

All teams moving forward have solid defenses.

So keep on doing what you have done and I guarantee you the window will close with nothing to show for it.

its not one or the other, its about having a balance. there been plenty of examples lately where teams have won with more of an offensive approach. this isn't the 70s anymore

They were talking about FAs on national radio the other day and the fact that very few high priced/profiled FAs actually provide the value to the teams that sign them.

I'd hope the Steelers start to look at football players for draft picks, and not athletes that 'can be trained up' to play football.

I think that's generally true - but the steelers seem perfectly fine with signing a cheap player like bostic. solid, but not a game changer. While they couldn't afford a Khalil mack for example - I'd like to think there is some opportunity in between there.....

I still will be surprised if the chiefs don't make it out of the AFC. with a week's rest, I think colts can be down early so it will depend if the can play some catch up ball

We have been using high picks on D for a while. The issue isn't that we don't understand that D is important, it's that we keep missing.

I don't think the D is talent deficient. I think they are poorly coached as a unit though... at least from a scheme perspective.

Not true... what we saw is every team with a playoff virgin qb lost. That’s what we saw. We learned that it takes a lot of defense but you still have to have SOME offense to win.

That’s why I love the Colts chances next week to eliminate the Chiefs. Chiefs have clearly the better defense and at this moment in time, Luck is equal to or a little better then Mahommes . It’s about the right here and now. And the Colts got the best O-line in the game too.
