    Blow It Up

If I were in charge, I'd fire the entire coaching staff, save for Munchak, Olsavsky, and Saxon (sp?). I'd tell Ben "thanks for the memories" and give him his gold watch, and see what I could get by way of trades for AB and Pouncey. And I'd get rid of Davis, Burns, and Burnett. As well as some of the other "dumb" players. Time to go into rebuild mode.

Do I expect the Steelers to do any of these things? No. We might get a token firing, Butler or Danny Smith, but it will pretty much be the same old same old next season. And that's a shame. Because we will likely be battling for the cellar of the AFC North.

Sounds like you can just take the season off next year since you already know the outcome.

If they do what you say, they yes we’re battling for the cellar.

How about some coaching changes and spend the leftover Bell cash on the secondary? More reasonable changes. Man the overreaction on this board is crazy.

It sucks we missed the playoffs.

I'm tired of front office apologists like you who only want to take half measures. We need to demolish Heinz Field, switch codes to soccer, move the team to Shreveport and start playing in the MLS if we really want to see some improvement.
In response to his pleas, an officer said: "You think we've never arrested somebody that's made national media? ... We deal with the Bengals all the time."

I would get rid of all the dumb players as well. To many mistakes and mental errors.

I would definitely fire Danny Smith, Joey Porter and Keith Butler.

I do think Butler had some of his better games the last few weeks but he's still got to go.

TOMLIN, the FRAUD should go but the spinless Rooney's will let him destroy this team one last season before not renewing his contract. If he somehow gets a new contract, us fans are screwed for years to come.
Tomlin: Let's unleash hell and "mop the floor" with the competition.

A few on here were saying Harbaugh is a better coach, and yet when the season started, he was hanging on by a thread to his job.
Things turn quickly in the NFL. Look at JAX vs last year, PHI vs last year, CHI vs last year. A key player or two can completely change a team.

The Steelers would be in a perpetual state of rebuild if some fans had their way.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

                      TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

I think if you want to get rid of Tomlin because he can't win another SB, then you should probably be OK trading Ben too.

I don't think he can go 4 games against good to great teams without having game destroying mistakes.

But, I think we should probably keep them both at least until Ben wants to retire. We should be good enough to make the playoffs (without another string of terrible luck). And luck is important in the playoffs, so you never know.

I just want Tomlin gone...His time is long passed...Barely won today against a terrible, beat up team, at Home...with everything to play for, and they had nothing...We came out flat...HOW, how can you come out flat in the biggest game of the year...

4th and 5, on your side of the field last week, against a good team...go for it...Better field position this week, **** team, this time 4th and ONE...Don't go fot it...Of course, typical dumbass, deer in the headlights looking Tomlin all game...Well, until we took the lead, then he was thumping his chest...

I just wish SO bad that he would be gone!

changes clearly need to be made - but blow it up?? not by a long shot.

we need a HC that doesn't coddle the guys. someone that will challenge ben to up his game even more. we need a new DC and ST coach. And while the steelers generally select best player available - we really need some horses in the secondary.

I see what happened to the rams with a coaching change. I think a HC change would be really good for this team - but there's no way the Rooney's make that move. So let's hope SOMETHING happens, because this year was a wasted 12 months.
