I think the uncatchable ball rule has been taken out of the game. I haven't seen a PI called off because a ball was uncatchable in two years. The WR would have had to have been 10 feet tall to even sniff touching that pass. I saw the flag and thought, they'll wave it off because it was uncatchable, but, sadly they did not.

Or maybe they know exactly what they're doing. A considerable cash payoff on the side can have a lot of appeal to some people.
True. I just consider that highly unlikely. Conspiracies of that size are hard to keep quiet, and the criminal and civil penalties are enormous, which would be a deterrent the opposite way.
Officiating is ruining the sport. The Haden PI call is one of the very worst I've seen in close to 40 years of watching football.
And it seems to be worse even with all the technology and ability to review from many angles. Cannot take the human element out of the game when it comes to judgement by the refs in interpreting what they see during the play or in review.

I think this is true based on how they call the game. It wasn't catchall for Haden and he was a hard out two deeper in the end zone
