It’s always a tragedy when a life full of potential is harmed by poor choices. From a fan standpoint I believe his career is over. From a human standpoint, I hope he can find and take advantage of whatever help is available.

Looks like the only help he needs is a job that doesn't drug test.

The NFL affords all players plenty of counseling in these kinds of cases. But, as with most addictions, the person has to accept help and commit to it. Had a former alcoholic boss. Company sent him to dry out for a month. Came back and went right back to the drink. Sent him again to dry out, this time for 3 months. Came back to work and never touched a drop after.

People do get better from addictions. But, it never ceases to amaze me the amount of stigma and sterotyping that comes from ignorant mouths and fingers. I knew I shouldn’t open this thread.
