    Tony Romo as an Announcer

Curious what you guys think of Tony Romo announcing games vs others?

Even though a lot of yesterday's game was painful to watch as times, I noticed several times just how good Romo is.

I feel like he's gotta turn into a coach.

He's got a unique enthusiasm. He notices a lot of stuff most other announcers don't. And he just seems to be on top of the game in ways that others just aren't.

I felt like I would think something, then he would say it. Or he would start talking about things I was thinking about. It was like he had some ESP into my mind at times yesterday.

Overall I like him a lot and look forward to having him do more of our games.

I agree that Romo is good! Totally refreshing to listen to. I think he and Aikman and Collinsworth are my favs.

I wondered initially why they gave a newbie top spot with nance right out of the gate. Now I know. He’s been terrific. Great knowledge, analysis and humor. He’d be fun to watch a game with on the couch - and it shows through his broadcast. Really enjoy him. Glad he’s on CBS and not FOX!

If he can make millions working 1 day per week in the booth as the lead analyst on the top broadcasting team for CBS, why would he decide to work endless long hours as a coach? This is why Cowher never went back. And why Gruden should not have either.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Good point. It's just clear it's something he'd probably be really good seeing a little more of how he thinks.

And for some people, there's more than money. Tony's probably got more than enough money that he can afford to do whatever interests him. His passion probably is more of a driver than making $millions. Maybe he needs the money, but I doubt it.

                            Hes good on money lol

Similar to peyton, who the stations would love to get in the booth...he can do basically whatever he wants. Some guys go to coaching, but i think when you are talking about premier personalities in sports you see them either go to the booth or you see them get a gig in the front office, or both (John Lynch).

Personally i think peyton is going to be eyeing a GM/Football ops role where i think Tony is very happy being in the booth, again he loves golf and is a scratch golfer i believe.

And maybe he just wants to play golf. But when a guy has as much info in his head and it's just sitting there going unused, it feels like he might get an itch to get back into the competition in some way.

But to each his own. Maybe getting to talk to coaches/players ahead of the broadcasts is enough for him.
