What if Steelers rescind Bell tag

Just wondering, if we rescind his tag and he signs this year with another team, do we get compensated as if he is a FA?

And what teams would have cap space for him to sign him long term? He probably want 14 M this year and guaranteed money.

Browns might have cap space, but they have Chub

    NE...?

    Raiders?

    Ravens?

    Miami?

If he doesn't report, why rescind the tag? I know that the Steelers could be eligible for a comp pick if he leaves during the normal course of free agency - why let him leave early and potentially sign with a team like the Pats this season? If he isn't going to play for the Steelers, I wouldn't give him the gift of playing for anybody else, either.

No, if the tag is rescinded now he is a 2018 FA and will sign well after the date required to be part of the compensation formula.

        Thanks, I wasn't sure.

Reason was asking was to see if it made sense to get a comp pick in 2019 instead of 2020.
